Well...if they're talking about appearance, I can see where they say that. Yes, Kovu was meant to look like Scar. But not too much like Scar. Kovu does look similar to Simba in his design. So maybe that's what they're getting at...

If they're talking about personalty, well, I disagree. Scar is vengeful, I admit, everyone knows he is. Kovu didn't seem that vengeful to me. I mean, when he first met Kiara, a cub from the Pridelands who he has been taught to hate, he wanted to be friends with her. No bit of mean fulness at all.

He does have some of Simba's curiosity and brags a lot as a cub like Simba did. ^.^ But, we have to remember, they're kids. Kids are gonna do that, a lot!

Grown up Kovu, now...he does seem to have some resent for the Pridelanders, but that's just because Zira brainwashed him into doing so. Once he softens up, he gets some of Simba's care free attitude, along with some of Scar's hatred still.

Those are my thoughts!

In my opinion Kovu is pretty much his own lion, like, not looking like anyone. Him and Scar wasn't even related, they just have the same colors so therefore they don't have the same personality really. He might look a little like Simba, but that's just because Simba is the only male lion that is healthy to compare him to lol because Mufasa is dead and was the biggest lion so far there was. So average, Simba is the only one in looks to compare him to because Nuka is underfed and all the other lions are lionesses.

perhaps if she hadn't lost Scar, or even not MET him, a lot of the events would have changed in the film.

For starters, Nuka, and perhaps Vitani, may not even exist, leaving Kovu left to his own devices.

Perhaps if she hadn't lost Scar, she would be a little more respectful.

i feel sorry for him as his mother shows little affection to him

I can see why they took out that scene, though. It was too dark for children and kind of disturbing. Although, I admit, it does fit her character and gives us a little bit more insight on how twisted she is, it would give a lot of kids nightmares.

"Kovu is his own lion in the end, and thus shouldn't be compared." was a line I forgot in my post. So, yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly!

Well, Nuka takes a lot after Scar. His appearance is like a dirty, more rough looking version of Scar, mostly because of the food.

Nuka also kind of adopted the jealousy of Scar, too. I mean, when you think about it, the two are similar in more ways than one. Both are so jealous of the next in line, that they would go to great lengths to prove that they're worthy of the thrown. ( Scar, killing his brother, and Nuka risking his own life to kill Simba.)

Samling: I just checked your other Lion King pictures, and I must say, those look like they take a very long time to do! I simply adored the Scar one. :3

Well, you did a fantastic job! How did you do them?

Its easy but very time consuming I found pictures of scences on Google and spent ages erasing the background on paint then layered the pictures to suit me and added text that suited me each "banner " took a few hours to do I might make some free ones which can go on the front page of this thread for people to use if I have time and if its ok with you I need to do timon and pumbaa which I started and nukka vitani simba and nala and rafiki still and one of all charecters with my fav pics of each chatecter together before I am satisfied with my work x
