Ugh...I've pretty much given up on the movie industry to properly portray a book the way it's supposed to be :|.

I'm hoping that they will somehow manage to make this a good movie...but I've also seen far too many books butchered by Hollywood (the second and third Narnia movies, Eragon, even a couple of the Harry Potter movies).

Just rather sad sometimes...

yeah...The HP movies weren't spectacular, but they were pretty good compared to most page-to-screen interpretations. The worst one I've seen is Percy Jackson, they changed the entire plot :?

I just hope the Hunger Games movie is ok. By the trailers, it seems like it might be somewhat close to the book (I thought the reaping scene was perfect, minus the mockingjay pin part). Nothing to do but cross our fingers, I suppose...

I liked most of the Harry Potter movies....but I feel they really screwed up on the third especially, and I wasn't very satisfied with the fifth one either. The others were pretty good for the most part. Especially the first two and the last "book" in the two movies...

The worst page-to-screen interpretation I have ever seen was, without a doubt, Eragon. I mean, compared to the book, that movie was horrible. The movie was good on its own (I guess), but being based off of a book...they totally butchered it. To make any sequels to this movie (and to actually try and follow the storyline) they would have to start all over again. There's no way they could continue...

End of off-topicness ;).

I really hope the Hunger Games will be worth it...

The Percy Jackson movie was just soo disappointing. I don't think they'll screw up this movie. The reaping looks absolutely spectacular.

Katniss gives it to Prim in the new trailer saying "It's a Mockingjay Pin. As long as you have this, nothing bad can happen to you" I'm assuming Prim gives it back to Katniss after she volunteers. Stupid, right?
