I was so sad when Peeta got hijacked, I wanted to punch the stupid Capitol. But, it make Katniss realize that, if she wanted Peeta to love her again, that she would have to work for it.

LOL, that reminds me.
Today my friend who is a big Hunger Games fan said "You know what? Katniss is a s***.."

I was like..Wut.
Then she explained by saying:

"First Katniss is all like; OMG. I love Gale, he's like, my guy bestfriend and We always help each other ;D. But then she like; I really want Peeta in bed with me, holding me and keeping away the nighmares. D;"

I realized shes right. Katniss never was my favorite character anyways. I like Haymitch, and Peeta.
Katniss is quite rude, and a bit self-centered. >.<

I dunno, I quite like Katniss. I mean, if I met her in real life we probably wouldn't get along, but as a character I think Suzanne Collins did a beautiful job developing her. She has flaws, as all good characters do, and she changes significantly as the story goes on without losing her original touch. Besides, I think she had enough crap going on in her life to excuse some of her behavior. And in some of her scenes with Prim, Rue, and (sometimes) Peeta, we get to see the better side of her, instead of the distrustful, rude, messed-up Katniss that comes out when she's confused and angry.

Oh of course, I understand completley.
She is one of my favorite characters in the "Non-Mary-Sue" sense.
As you just stated, she does get confused and angry, and so she is not all perfect.
Thats partly why I like Collins so much. She has this way of writing that I love, and her characters are developed and fantastic.

Argh. I sound like a child when I wrote the post before this one. Im not sure what came over me. o.o

Anyway, I hope I dont sound bipolar. Im not. I just, lost my sense of taste right there.

I never cry for fictional characters, but I almost went into a mental lockdown when Prim and Finnick died. And when Peeta was hijacked. I was just like for about three days.
