Gale and Beetee invented the bomb, but Coin sent the order for the random soilders (not necessarily Gale) to drop it on the children. If memory serves, Gale moved because his home in 12 was destroyed and it was too awkward for him with Kat and Peet together anyway.

Personally, I love Gale. Just not with Katniss. I wish Madge had lived so the two of them could be together...

I don't believe in picking teams, it's too "tw*l*ght" if you know what I mean. Hunger Games is better than that junk.

I felt really bad for Gale, but I think Kat and Peeta were the better couple. May I quote Mockingjay?

but i didnt feel bad for gale because he basically dumped katniss and that was very mean of him to leave when she needed him the most, but peeta was there.

I have a lot of sympathy for the guy because everything just sort of crashed down around him. First Katniss got thrown in the Games and he couldn't go with her because someone needed to stay behind and feed their families, then Kat and Peeta got together, then after they got home Peeta proposed and Katniss had to say yes. After that was the Quarter Quell, so K & P got thrown back in the arena, and again all he could do was watch.

District 12 got bombed and it was up to Gale to lead everyone to safety, and lots of people died, then he and Katniss fought while in 13 and didn't talk to each other for the longest time. Coin used the bomb he created to kill Prim and Katniss couldn't look him in the eye (she said she knew it wasn't his fault but she couldn't help thinking about it everytime she saw him) and suddenly the war was over and he had nowhere to go. 12 was destroyed, and it would be too awkward for him there with K & P anyway, so I don't really blame him for moving to 2.

LOL, sorry for that crazy rant. But that guy just had the whole world against him, and I can't bring myself to hate him.

oh i dont hate him, and katniss and peeta weren't together until he left, so...
in the beginning i hoped she would pick gale but after he left her after she killed coin, without even saying good bye... it was sad.
