    I hated The Call of the Wild when I read it for school.

    Which I guess is...weird, bc I loved White Fang when I read it later, and in general I tend to rlly like stories about animals. But Call of the Wild was so boring. The protagonist never seemed to struggle with anything so it felt like there were no stakes and that made it hard to want to read.

    The fight with Spitz that they built up to for so long was over in, like, two seconds and after that I was like okay, Buck's never going to struggle or fail at anything. Gotcha. Thanks Jack.

I had to read that in school a few years ago and it made absolutely no sense. Maybe if it was a long time ago it would but at the time I didn't know what "art thou" meant and it has that a million times in it. And the teacher got mad when I couldn't answer the questions because I "didn't read it" when I did.

I posted this last year but I want to say it again. Even though I had to read it in school all the way back in 2016, my hatred for the jungle book has not gotten smaller.

Well it’s been another year and I still hate it lol

The Brooklyn Nine by Alan Gratz. It's about nine generations ("innings") of a family who are super into baseball. That's all I remember because I blocked any other information about it out of my mind. I had to look up "book about nine generations of baseball players" to get the name.
It was assigned for a summer reading project the summer before I went into sixth grade, and I don't know if it was just because that wasn't a great time for me or because I don't like baseball, but it took me the whole three months to finish that horrid book. I was an avid reader back then, too, so it honestly devastated me that I couldn't get through it. It was just so boring, and I got rid of it as soon as I didn't need it anymore. Never in my life have I hated a book as much as I hated that one. I feel anger just by thinking about it.

I disagree. It reminded me of Warrior Cats with dragons, so it was a fun read (even if i didn't read much of it)

Pokemon Adventures Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum was THE worst Pokespe arc. It was so boring that i couldn't finish it.
My first manga ever was Pokemon Adventures Heartgold and Soulsilver one too, so this was so disappointing, especially when HGSS still holds up to me 4 years later.

This is How You Lose Her by Junot Diaz. So misogynistic and gross

you can call me Blue~

"No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool."

-from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock - T.S. Eliot
