Hello there! My name is AmberJewel but you can call me Mirra.
My life revolves around Star Wars and I'm preparing for next Tuesday when i get to see Rebels!
Anyway this is a little page a wrote about the fate of Barriss Offee from Star Wats! Enoy!
I would love to see Ahsoka in Rebels, but I also have a few theories on her fate and who else we may see:
Barriss Offee
OK, so, I will admit, I really wasn't a fan of Ahsoka when I got hooked on CW. Barriss was my favorite character, and I was literally torn to pieces when "she" bombed the Jedi temple. I got thinking, and realized a few things about Barriss that didn't seem to fit with the storyline.
1. Barriss betrayed her friends and family.
From what we know, being in the Jedi Order is a very hard commitment to break. I doubt that such a committed Jedi would dump her friends and family and the only life she's ever known. Barriss was also a committed friend of Ahsoka. They were through a lot. Now, if Barriss had framesd someone else, it may have been more believable, but even if she was against the Republic she probably wouldn't kill her best friend.
2. Lightsabers and Jedi powers
As we see in "The Wrong Jedi", Barriss steal's Asajj's lightsaber and sneaks up on her, something Anakin was not able to do. Now, Anakin is a very powerful Jedi, and Barriss is a Padawan. When she attacked Asajj, Asajj could have easily been off her guard. But is it possible that perhaps other forces were at work?
Next is the lightsaber problem. When Barriss first starts her fight with Anakin, Anakin yells, "You should have gotten ride of those!" While Barriss replies, "I think they suit me better!" She seems to have gone from Republic-hater to Sith. She says that she rebelled against the order because of the war. I doubt anyone against the war would turn to Sith.
But wait, how do you explain her actions?
Quite simple. During the holocron episodes in Season. 2, a changeling takes the form of a Jedi and has quite amazing abilities because of it. Isn't it possible that a changeling, possibly trained in basic lightsaber/force skills could have impostered as Barriss? It's quite possible.
3. She knew Asajj Ventress was there, showing that she had contact with the Sepretists.
During the end of To Catch a Jedi, we see Barriss attack and steal Asajj's lightsabers and helmet when Ahsoka never told her who she was with. Is this evidence that "Barriss" had contact with Palpatine, who would have been able to give away that intel?
4. Sneaking in
Tarkin even says it.
"We don't have just anyone running about."
Hmmm... And yet someone was able to get past them and kill Letta?
Could the Changling have disguised as a clone to get in? I think this makes a lot of sense. It would even explain how she was able to get in in the first place.
But wait, why would there be a Sith person?
Now for Qs and As!
Who hired her?
I also figured out some more things.
Palpatine NEEDED Ahsoka dead. If she had been alive during Episode III, then Anakin would have most likely not become Darth Vader. The Emperor needed Ahsoka to be executed -and make Anakin feel that it was his fault- to further steer him to the darkside. Also, we notice that "Barriss" is never killed, but simply "taken away". Shows you something, right?
What happened to the real Barriss?
Most likely she was kidnapped by either the Sepretists or the Chancellor and either escaped, is still in prison, or was killed. We may never know for sure.
TO BE CONTINUED!
Darn, I hate to be continues!
