Middle Earth! {Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit} V4

Just finished watching all 3 LOTR movies in one go. They are so great. Favourite character has to be either Sam or Legolas.

I was yesterday at the cinema on Hobbit - the Desolation of Smaug. It was the best movie I've ever seen!

Oh goodness! This is kinda awkward then. xD I absolutely hated DoS. Peter Jackson created an abomination (at least in my eyes) with that movie. If it were a standalone movie, not based on a book, I would have no problems with it; however, I'm a die-hard Tolkien fanatic, and what he did, his loosely based rendition, cannot be called The Hobbit. Yes, I am aware that some things need to be changed in order to make a book into a movie, but what Peter Jackson did to it was horrid. He changed EVERYTHING. A lot of the character development, as well as the plot was changed and lost in his movie. I'm glad some people were able to like it, though; as I shan't ever hold any love for it.

And I totes haven't even introduced myself here! Sorry! xD

There were many star parts in DoS that I felt like throwing out the window, as well, and I'm pretty sure we all have some likes/dislikes on the movie.

A question I've wanted to ask for a while.
Personally, I loved the action and the awesome effects that PJ added in, and the Bilbo and Smaug scenes, of course, stayed relatively true to the books and were impeccable to my eyes. XD
What I didn't like was that they cropped out many good parts of the book, like Beorn's house, and that towards the end it seemed more like some sort of fanfiction-thing than a movie adaption of the book. I am a firmly book-abiding Tolkienist, and while LOTR was decent to the books, the movies of the Hobbit changed a lot of things. ;P

What do you like and dislike about the Desolation of Smaug/the Hobbit movies in all?
well I like the song I see Fire that was played at the end and I dislike where they ended it with smaug I wanted to see them kill smaug O.o
