ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS IS MERLANIE AND SHE SMELLS LIKE DEAD FROGS.

1) Some guy teams up with an old dude and a naggy reporter. They kinda just walk around old buildings looking for stuff.
He later teams up with his brother... And also looks for stuff

2) You have to do tests before you can even fully start the game. Then you get kicked out and find out your father has lied about everything... Probably even the fact that you were a healthy 16 year old who could take the test

The creators evidently haven't learned from their past mistakes, because they made ANOTHER sequel focusing on the comic relief from the first instalment, who gets abducted while in another country, just like in their worst-reviewed movie! There's a jerk whose backstory is never explored, and his only purpose is to get the comic relief to places. At the end, the jerk suddenly stops being a jerk and does something completely and utterly unrealistic just so all of the characters can have a happy ending.
