Millie was a glow with excitement. She had been busy for the past few weeks preparing her costume and now the night of Halloween was finally here. She quickly put on her pink dress along with a few pink accessories. She put on her light brown wig, running her paws through it till she was satisfied. Millie made her way to the door, pausing to grab her pumpkin bag. “Well you certainly look like a princess.” Millie turned to see a dog with bright orange eyes. “Thanks Pyro!” Millie said with a cheerful wag of her tail. She noticed Pyro was holding his usual bowl of treats for the trick-or-treaters tonight. Millie opened the door and headed outside. “I’ll be back with plenty of treats!” She called back before racing down the street. Millie made her way to the first house with lights on. She raised a paw to knock on the door. “Trick or treat?”

Kian slides on his goggles and bounds downstairs 3 at a time. His friends were there to go trick or treating with him! He’s dressed as a bright pink salmon (his favourite animal). Kian reaches his friends and look at their costumes, a ghost, a ballerina and a robot! They all sprint out onto the street holding their candy bags in their mouths. ‘I’m so excited’ Kian exclaims. ‘Where to now?’ He asks, his bag starting to get heavy. ‘Here!’ The friend dressed as a robot points towards a house. Kian stumbles up to it and chants ‘TRICK OR TREAT’

Story:

He knew nobody would suspect a thing. He knew he could slip through the cracks, plaster a smile and no one would know anything was amiss. Years now that scheming little flower has done this. For years he has stolen from the gullible and the unsuspecting. He knew just what to say and just how to act to wrap everyone around his grimy little hands. He played dress up just like all the others, he blended in that way. He was the lurker, the suspicious; but no one could tell. If they just looked, they would see. They would understand the way he thought, and the satisfaction he received as he stole those treats from right under their nose. He won't stop, he'll do it again. Oh look, he approaches. Be careful; for his face lies and his words deceive.

This was definitely going to be the best Halloween ever. Guy's whiskers twitched in happy anticipation as he admired his new costume.

It's the perfect costume for me, he thought, running an appreciative paw over the sleek grey fins and sharp white teeth. After all, the only thing with a more voracious appetite than himself, was... a shark!

"I'm a candy-eating machine," Guy chortled, slipping the mask over his face. "I'm an apex candy-predator, evolved over millions of years into a perfect engine of total candy destruction!"

As he slipped out into the night, slinking through the foggy streets like a shark swimming through dark water, he imagined he could hear the low bass:

dun dun.... dun dun.... DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN--

He abruptly halted. At the end of the dark street, lit only by the ghostly moon above, was a house whose lights glowed with golden welcome. A-ha! His first victim house! Guy's eyes glittered greedily. "You're going to need a bigger boat... load of candy," he promised the approaching door.

Story:

It was a warm Halloween night in the big city and already the block was packed with Chickensmoothians rushing stoop to stoop for their treats. In one of the brick high-rises, in a top floor apartment, there was still one trick or treater that had yet to leave her loft.

“Ooooh. I hope he gets it,” an anxious Feather Lucy/Arctic 2010 dog muttered to herself as she tried to center a silver tiara atop her blonde braided wig.

She stepped back from her bathroom mirror to admire her completed costume. She wore a floor-length aqua and blue glitter gown, white silk gloves, and a braided wig complete with a crown. The white furred dog had to blink a few times since she wasn’t used to seeing herself with such large false lashes and bright blue contacts.

“I mean, clearly I’m Elsa. Right Olaf?” she asked the stuffed snowman doll perched on the bathroom counter. The doll didn’t answer but looked back at her with comically large eyes and a cartoony grin.

She giggled nervously as she smoothed her paws over the front of her sparkly dress. Suddenly her eyes snapped to a ribbon wand laying by Olaf’s puffball feet.

“Oh whoops! Can’t forget my ice magic!”

She took up the ribbon wand which was blue with a snowflake design. She gave it a swish and imagined whatever the ribbon touched turned to ice. If only!

“Alright, time to go! I bet he’s waiting!”

In a flurry of movement the female gathered up her olaf friend and the Halloween bag she had tried to make more “snow themed” with a few snowflake ornaments stuck on the black bag. You’d never seen a pup more in a hurry than the mad dash she made down the stairs and out the front door of the high-rise.

“Hey! There you are I was wonde—” a Tiki Torch 2010 dog, dressed haphazardly as a mummy, stopped mid-sentence when his friend came into view.” Wow! I didn’t expect you’d dress as a princess, Isabelle.”

The female, Isabelle, gave a sheepish smile.” I’m a queen technically… um, you ready to trick or treat, Liam?”

Her friend, Liam, gave a handsome smile.” Lead the way Queen!”

Isabelle could feel her heart race in her chest. This was going to be the best Halloween yet! Not only was it the first time she was trick or treating without her parents, but she would get to collect candy all night with her crush! The two walked close enough to bump shoulders as they made their way to the first stop with a light on.

“Trick or treat!” the two exclaimed in unison.

Tivo absolutely adored the book series Mendica the Mail Witch. Adventure, magic, the postal service... what's not to love? Tivo was certain that they had to be the series' biggest fan. All too often, though, they felt like they were the series' only fan. None of their school friends had ever heard of it, and its fandom on the Internet was all but nonexistent. How could such a cool series be so underrated? It's almost like the book series itself was a fictional construct invented for the purposes of a Halloween game on a pet adoptable website, for how few people had read it.

Not one to be deterred, Tivo decided that they would take it upon themselves to promote the series this Halloween. Maybe, if everyone saw how cool the protagonist, Mendica Peregrine, was, they would be interested in reading the series! Even aside from that, who wouldn't want to dress up as a character this vital to the postal service of a fictional fantasy world? Wow, Mendica was so rad. This was the best idea Tivo had had in ages.

In the weeks leading up to Halloween, Tivo prepped the costume with the utmost care to detail. They almost couldn't find a cape in the right color - could you imagine? A cape that was the wrong shade of purple would turn everybody off the book series for sure. Their costume had to be perfect. It took days of work, but finally, the night of October 30th, Tivo decided their costume was finished.

So, it was Halloween. As they stepped outside for the big night, Tivo was practically jittering with apprehension. Was their costume good enough? Would it cause Mendica the Mail Witch to become an international sensation overnight, like they counted on? Would they get any candy?

There was only one way to find out. After a deep breath, Tivo stepped up to the first house and rang the doorbell.

Story:
Today was THE DAY. Halloween. A day that, according to Beetlejuice, was always the best day of the year. He had waited this day for a whole year. Luckily it wasn't too long 'til he could go trick or treating. He would just need to wait for Lydia to leave to her own trick-or-treat rounds, dressed up as a witch, she was. And speaking of witches; Beetlejuice did wish -from a witch if he could- a wish that Lydia would not say his name three times before, so that he himself could also go hunt candies and scare people. Oh, how much he did wish that; anything to not spend another all-hallows-eve just sitting in the waiting room, like he did the previous year! That would be devastating should it happen again. Beetlejuice, however, did not have a costume for himself. Yet. He would need to search the attic in hopes of finding something.
Few hours later and one Lydia less in the house, Beetlejuice floated -with his ghostly powers- through the locked attic door and got to work. Beetlejuice did indeed feel incredibly lucky that Lydia did not banish him back to the waiting room. The ghost with the most would not make her regret that decision. Hopefully. He scavenged and hunted through all the old junk and spiderwebs, trying to find some type of costume. He found a thing and another, all forgotten memories of Lydia and her family. Finally, he found what looked to be a costume for Halloween. It was Lydia's old spider costume. Obviously, it was a tad too small for Beetlejuice, and possibly even to Lydia, but really, it was the only one he found that even somehow fit him. It was the best one out of all the junk in here and it would have to do. He got into the costume, hoping that it wouldn't rip in any places and declared himself ready to go.
Soon Beetlejuice found himself outside his current haunting residence and all ready to start stealing...ahem politely asking for candies. He started to walk down his home road and first decided to go to the closest houses. All of them were beautifully decorated to suit this holiday; skeletons, pumpkins and the such. It helped him to get into the Halloween mood. Plus, from one thought to another, there was the thrill of getting lost on this Halloween night. Which he had done two years earlier. Lydia had been furious and thus, he had ended up in the waiting room that following year. Anyways, there he was; hiding behind trees and bushes, just for fun, and scaring all trick or treaters unfortunate enough to come too close. Creepy he knew, but it was Halloween and he was Beetlejuice. Being creepy was his job. Just ask Lydia. After a while of stalking other candy hunters and their doings, he noticed a road that seemed to lead one through a forest. Ah! He could probably go through the forest just to see if there would be any houses at the end of the road to rob from candy... Brilliant idea! Yes, Beetlejuice, you were always the brightest one in your little group of devils. Note the sarcasm. Oh well, you only live twice, after all.
Five minutes of walking through the forest-y and dimly lit road, he thought that he heard some kind of scratching noises. The scratching reminded Beetlejuice of the time when he got into trouble with the sandworms. The noises he was now hearing were hauntingly similar. Nope, not my time to be their victim, not today! Beetlejuice thought and turned around in order to get away. To glide away. As fast and far as the poltergeist could from the noises. The only problem was that while Beetlejuice did so, he couldn't see the end of the road or the place where he had come from or the houses. This creepy road didn't seem to end at all. However, soon the road was no longer and before him was a house. Beetlejuice certainly was sure that at some point he had strayed from the path and had started to go around in circles. How else would he be in front of this particular house?
Beetlejuice started to walk closer, too curious to turn around and run away. Finally, the trickster stepped in front of the front door. He would not waste this chance to get some free candy! Beetlejuice knocked on the huge door with his tail and shouted: "Give me some candy!" But then he stopped, coughed and decided to start again. "I mean..." He said barely audibly, more to himself and continued with a louder voice: "Trick or Treat!" For a good measure, even Lydia should be proud; he didn't just order them to give him their candies. He asked. Quite nicely, may he add.

Story: Abra fiddled with his mask, finding the plastic very difficult to breathe through. "I should have just been a wizard. That would have been much more comfortable." Unfortunately for him, no one was around to hear him moan about how bad his costume was. All of his friends considered themselves too old for trick or treating. He had just scoffed at them, and grabbed his treat bag. "Every age is trick or treating age", he had told them. He began muttering, "Jeez, they think 15 is too old?", as he approached his first house of the night. He reached up with his nose, and pressed the doorbell in. He didn't hear anything, and the breeze was making the skeleton behind him rattle on it's chair. He was shaking a little. "Hello?" He waited in the breeze for an answer.

"ITS PERFECT!" Silver squealed stepping back from her glittery pile. She spend almost all of quarantine hand making her glittery wings for her halloween costume this year & she was finally finished. Halloween was always Silver's favorite holiday. She carefully tried on her costume and did a full spin in her bedroom mirror. "I look just like a real fairy!" she whispered admiring her costume. Silver hurriedly grabbed her basket and her lantern then was out of the door, ready to collect as many treats as she could!

Silver stepped out into the cold night and began immediately hunting for treats. As she passed a few houses with no lights she began to wonder if she'd ever get any treats at all. All of a sudden Silver was met to a beautiful sight, someone's porch light on!! She excitedly ran up towards the light and gave the most cheerful smile she could "TRICK OR TREEEEAT" she sang.
