Good day! I'm SteamPunk, the proud founder of SteamPunk Adoption Center, or SPAC for short.
How I got to be K-9-Dog's companion is quite a story! They won me from a small giveaway, due to their love and fascination of the Steampunk fashion trend. (Like me!) We both wanted to spread the kindness, so SPAC was born! It started just to be a regular adoption center... then it grew to be much bigger! Yes, there was many bumps in the road, but seeing those happy and excited messages from our customers kept it going. Currently, our main supply of these adorable pets come from K-9-Dog saving them from the pound, and picking up abandoned ones. Of course we take donations as well, so if you're quitting; drop them off here!
Oh, //ahem// sorry for the rambling! Let's get to where you actually came for: FREE pets!

~Adoption Rules~
Please follow the rules if you want to adopt! If you break a rule, I'll cancel with the rule you missed.
(I don't believe in foeing over accidental rule breaking.)


1.) 2 PETS PER 24 HOURS, ONLY 1 uncommon OR 1 UNKNOWN RARITY per adoption, the uncommon must be on your wishlist! This is to prevent giving away pets that's only going to be trade fodder. The center's goal is to provide pets for those who are needing/missing/hoarding them. c:
(This rule changes if I get more or less pets in the center.)

2.) Only take from THE FREE group!

3.) Bump this topic every time you adopt from here!
I do check! COPPAS are excused from this rule.
pssst... there's also a small chance of a special visitor in your trades to gift bomb you! They do random gifts to those who bump...
(Don't spam bumps please, it will not increase your chances. Only bump 1 time per 24 hours for adopting)

4.) Please leave a message, a simple "Thank you" is okay.
COPPAS: Please use the given message that says about free pets!

5.) Adoptions are run by first come, first served!
Send another trade if you get automatically cancelled! If your trade has been autocancelled 4 times in a row, please PM me politely and I'll accept your trade <3333

6.) Please don't complain/guilt me/harass me if you don't get the pet you wanted.

If you'd like to donate, I'd first like to thank you for your kindness! <3 Here's how you can donate:

1.) Please say it's an donation or I'll think it's a gift! All unwanted pets are always welcomed in my center. ALL donations shall be in the center, not for my personal collection. The pet will say "Adopt me! (Donated!)" for proof <3
(Short terms: All donated pets will be given away for free/placed in center ASAP, when I rename them "SPAC (Donated!) )

2.) *NEW* If you'd like to donate rares and above, I'll put them up for my rare giveaway/free raffle! <3 If there's a current rare giveaway/free raffle, They will be placed in this holding group. When the giveaway starts, you'll be notified, along be given a BIG shout out for making the giveaway POSSIBLE! In the "Donors with a heart of Gold", your valuable donation will be noted next to your name. Even if it's JUST 1 rare!
(Short terms: ALL Rare donations will be in a free number raffle, chosen by random number generator. All rare+ donations will be given away for free like this.)

3.) IF you donate, you'll be put in the "Hall of Fame"!

How to receive a care package

Care packages are exactly what they're called! If you or your friend is not having a good day and/or need something to cheer them up, we can help! All pets included in the care package are from our adoption center. We try to include wishlist pets, but if we don't have any wishlist pets, we'll gift you pets based on your favorite CS pet species.

1.) Fill out the entire form; you can either post it here or PM K-9-Dog c: That way our care package is fit for the recipient's needs <3

2.) Please do not lie about bad events/sicknesses/etc... Please do not take advantage of our care package center. If we find out, it could render you unable to request/receive a care package from our center permanently. I understand somedays might not be the best, but you're more than welcome to chat with me if you need someone to listen to <3

3.) Only request 1 care package per two weeks. Those who have received care packages will be listed by username, and once the username has been taken down, a care package can be requested again. It's so that way the center won't be taken advantage, and the pets go to people in need <3

4.) You may request a care package for yourself, and/or for a friend!

5.) When requesting care packages for multiple people, fill a form for each person.

Yo! K9 here! Due to so many wondering how I'm able to run a stress-free adoption center, This section tells you how to make/maintain a successful and a stress free adoption center! This also covers frequently asked questions as well. <3 I hope this helps, cheers my friends!

1.) How are you able to maintain an adoption center without the stress?

Well, it's by making simple rules that are easy to follow! Having extensive rules makes both the adopter and the manager of an adoption center stressed and confused. I used to have a lot of rules, but I got too stressed along others getting confused. Basically, find what's both easy for you and the adopters!

2.) When I fill out a form for the giveaway and want to adopt a pet too, does my form count as a bump?

It does! But keep in mind that I only allow 1 entry per person in the giveaway. If you wish to adopt after filling a giveaway form on this thread, it counts as 1 bump to prevent spam in the forums.

3.) Why do you give back to the community so much?

Even though I had a very short rough start, ChickenSmoothie became my safe place to explore the forums and just have fun with trading when so many people saw I was struggling. So many people gave so much kindness to me, either as gifts or just a simple pm; I wanted to give back to the community, along making a difference! I used to try and run adoption centers in the past, but I was a little inexperienced back then. After through trail and error, or just simply looking at other adoption centers, I'm now having more fun when it comes to making others smile! Basically, I just love making a huge difference along the fun of running a mini adoption center. I thank those who helped me along their kindness. I'm so glad I stayed!

4.) I want to run an adoption center! Do you have any tips so it becomes successful?

I do! First of all, it's very kind of you that you want to spread kindness! Here's the secrets of having a successful adoption center:

- Make the rules simple, and easy to read! Makes more and more people want to adopt when there isn't any lengthy rules.
- Codewords are not recommended! I used to have a codeword, but it was too confusing for both adopters and me. More people seem to easily follow and read the rules without it!
- Trail and error, ask for feedback! Mine didn't become successful overnight. It took trail and error to see what works for everyone! Feedback is very valuable, that's why I ask for some feedback when I hold free giveaways.
- Kindness! Kindness really does help. When I first started, I didn't know much about rules and such. When someone breaks a rule; don't be rude! They didn't mean it. When someone breaks a rule, I just simply and kindly tell them what rule they missed. <3
- Have fun! If it's not fun, make it so it is fun!

(NEW) 5.) How do you make an adoption center that stands out from others??

There are plenty of things to help you create one!

- Choose a theme! Choose a theme, and use coding, images and mascots to fit the theme!
- Fancy it up! Use decorative images, code it up! Be careful not to use bright fonts (Like this), not too many images that creates lag, and lettering that's easy to read!
- Make a mascot! Draw one that matches the theme, OR choose your favorite chickensmoothie pet(s) as mascots! If you have pets that fits the theme and even items, go for it!
- Think bigger! No, BIGGER! What can you do to spread even more kindness around? What small little stories for your mascots can you make? What special events can you come up with?

Even though there's more ways of making your mark for adoption centers, just let your imagination take lead. c:
