Hi, ChickenSmoothie!! - My regular commission slots are currently CLOSED.

Why “Syntheticat” when that’s not my CS username?
“BelieverInChrist” has been my CS account name for well over a decade now, and I’m pretty attached to it. But my digital art has evolved under the moniker “syntheticat” on other platforms, and I’d like to keep that name on the art I create ^^

Background: (you don't have to read this part)
This site has been a huge influence on my interest in art (especially digital art) and character design.
I feel like it's about time I opened a simple art shop page, mostly to present an organized "portfolio" when I'm soliciting commissions from others. However, you can also buy art from me here directly when the shop is open.

Rules: (please read)
- Please do not spam this topic or "bump." Comments should be related to my art shop (requests, questions, etc)
- I will complete your commission within 3 weeks, unless extreme and/or unexpected life circumstances get in the way. In those cases, I will reach out to you over DMs as soon as I'm reasonably able to in order to explain the situation and offer a refund.
- As my skill level improves, if you ever want me to "remix" or redo a commissioned piece for you, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd love to spruce up an old piece for you. This is something I'd want to coordinate on a case-by-case basis in terms of additional payment (if any is desired.)

What I WILL Draw:
- Feral-style animal characters (all kinds)
- Anthro-style animal characters (see my caveat on humanoids below)
- Machinery
- Objectheads
- Plants
- Scenes/Landscapes
- Some blood or action-style violence; if what you're requesting concerns me or seems like too much, we'll talk about it.
- Reference Sheets
*I am willing to do up to 5 in one order, per the 5-character limit, but I may need more time or compensation depending on the level of intricacy.
- Multiple-Character Scenes
*up to 5 characters

What I'll TENTATIVELY Draw:
- Humanoids. I'm just not great with human anatomy and faces, and I don't feel confident charging people for art that I can't stand behind. Skeletons and certain anthro characters may get a pass, however, so please ask me about it if you really want me to draw someone for you.

What I WON'T Draw:
- Ship art
- Politically-charged art
- NSFW (I would hope this is obvious, given both CS guidelines and my username )

Pricing:

- Note: I am tentatively open to art trades and line swaps. Please PM me if you're interested. -

C$ Pricing Table:
Headshot - 7 C$ [for the first character, then 3 C$ per additional character in that image or order]
Bust - 15 C$ [for the first character, then 5 C$ per additional character in that image or order]
Halfbody - 20 C$ [for the first character, then 7 C$ per additional character in that image or order]
Fullbody - 30-50 C$, depending on level of complexity [for the first character, then 15 C$ per additional character in that image or order]
Ref Sheet - 40-70 C$, depending on level of complexity. If you order multiple ref sheets at once, I'll give a 20% discount per-sheet.

Level of Polish: the prices above assume colored, unshaded art. If you only want lines, I'll discount up to 50% of the piece on a case-by-case basis. If you want shading, I'll add an additional 2-4 C$ per piece.

Pet Pricing Table:
- I am loosely following Horror's Pricing Chart to keep this fairly consistent with C$ pricing. -

Level of Polish: the prices above assume colored, unshaded art. If you only want lines, I'll discount up to 50% of the piece on a case-by-case basis. If you want shading, I request an additional UC/VUC/EUC of your choice.

* Do not offer Common pets or below if they are not on my Wishlist!! (You may be surprised about how many OMGSC/Commons are on my WL, so just try me.) I'm more picky about designs than scarcity, but I'm also aware of the fact that their rarities make them harder to offer in trades. That's why I'm asking you to keep it WL-exclusive for lower value pets; I want to actually appreciate them and keep them on my account, not use them as fodder. *

You may offer mixtures of rarity levels as a payment.

Misc:
I would prefer to receive pets as payment until I've checked off everything on my WL, so I will be offering flat fees with pet payments as an incentive. This means that, if you pay in pets, I'm charging no additional cost for added characters, and not adjusting prices for character design complexity. You would just pay the straight price as I've listed here for each individual image.
This is subject to change, if I ever run out of pets to ask for ^^

For orders of 1-2 pieces: Please do not send me your payment until I have delivered the finished art to you.
For orders of 3-5 pieces: Please send me the payment for any one (1) piece upfront, and the rest after I have completed and delivered the art.

If there is interest, I may open writing commissions at some point.
