Actually, I can honestly say I've never sent a gift to make myself feel better. It's usually when I see someone who desperately wants something and they cant get it on their own even after trying for months and months. That's a rather ignorant statement to make

I agree. It's rude and offensive to those who lower their own collection it to make others happy. I don't just do it to make myself feel better, I do it for others. This has offended me and others, I'm sure.
