o.o A lot of drama seems to have gone down when I was gone. All I can say is that the few July and Augusts I have were either earned through trading (I think - it's been so long ago) or by a lucky chance with the 2008 Advent Calendar. Also, I used to give away adoptions on the site, but I don't anymore, not out of selfishness, but because I am trying to get as many of the pets I missed as I can. I know that's impossible because now I'm pretty much down to rares and very rares in what I'm missing, but I've made out pretty well with my trading. Of course, now all of my older pets are now out of my trade group because of all that trading, so I don't really have stuff to trade out for anymore 'cause a lot of people don't like rats for some reason.

So I think it's a bit...naive to expect to get things for free. So just be happy when it does happen and don't whine because you aren't getting stuff for free.

ive seen people give away very rare pets and UR pets to people, but never to me. i wish i could somehow get my dream pet... a black eyed galaxy or joker... oh well

This thread is starting to seem to be a place where people come to state their dream pets as a means of trying to get someone to give it to them..

Again my two cents is that you should EARN your pets through trading and not whining about it.

I've given a few people pets from their wishlists and stuff, especially newbies who don't have a ton of trading material.
I've never given away very rares, but rares, yes. I don't want to give away my really, really rare pets because a couple are wishlist pets that I worked hard to trade for, and most others have been gotten by making art for people.

I don't think there's a shortage of kind people willing to do these things; pets are much rarer and more valuable than they were before and there's an increasing number of people just begging for pets. <_< I am somewhat reluctant to give things to people for free because you can always make art in return for pets; you don't /need/ to have incredible trading material. As long as you practice your art skills and work hard, as in don't just color in free lineart or try to make people pay a ton for something you spent five minutes with in MS Paint, you'll get the pets you want.
There are too many people in the art forums who try to get off easy with bad lineart and reckless coloring skills, then whine about how nobody wants their art. e_e;
