Omg...I can't believe it. I literally just traded for this beauty yesterday, and now it's only rare. I feel like I over payed now. If I had just waited one day longer!

It's still the same pet with the same value compared to the rest of CS pets.
You guys obsess way too much over rarity tags.
And ignore value which doesn't change in the least with every new rarity calculation.

Do you like the pet?
Were you happy with the trade when it was accepted?
If so it shouldn't have changed unless you're in love with rarity tags instead of designs or collections.

Sure, it's the same pet with the same value, and the rarity change is certainly not the end of the world. But rarity tags definitely DO affect what people expect to get for a pet. If I had traded for it months ago or even weeks ago I wouldn't care as much. Rarity changes happen. But I literally traded for it yesterday and the trade included a couple of my best trade pets on my side. Of course I still like the pet and I'm glad that I have it, but yes...I do wish that I would have waited to trade because I probably would have been able to get it for less, and I could have avoided trading some of my best trade pets. I don't think that really qualifies as "obsessing over rarity tags." I'm just expressing my disappointment that I likely could have gotten the pet for less if I had just traded for it a day later.

No worries, the cat will go up in rarity again in the next couple months so all you have to do is wait c: You probably wouldn't have been able to get it for much less because the rarity tag hardly changes value.

too many pets went down again... over year was very small pets which went up in rarity on rare... almost not any VR... and now all down again... Its little bored...
I love to see changes in rarity and see which pets go up... I dont know why... but I'm glad when some pets go up in rarity... it make them more... special... or how it say... what was change rarity system... and dead account arent count anymore... it absolutely destroyed it... members pay a lot for their VRs and rares... and that pets go then down... it make everyone little sad...
i understand that you can be happy... like... this rare is uncommon now... but I feel little sad for that pet...
maybe next time could be ra-released uncommons too... not ONLY rares from a litter... like... was re-released almost all litters which had at least one rare... other are uncommons/commons... but you got only that rare outcome... not any suprise... i dont like it

I think that they should count ALL pets on cite again...not just active accounts... cause member cant be 11 month unactive... then they come only on advent... will adopt advent pets... and after advent he will 11 months unactive again...

Pets are going down in rarity this time because of the rerelease.

And they shouldn't go back to the old system, this one is more accurate. Accuracy is way more important than pets just being rare and very rare for no reason.

but now went down also commons and uncommons and they wasnt released... i dont know... I see it much more chaotic now than before... one month is pet common... next month it go up on uncommon (for example in summer - not in advent time) ... after next two month go pet again down on common and next month is back uncommon... and after advent time go again on common... just chaotic... and I remember some pets which had this rarity changes very often... before it was settled
I dont want just rares or very rares... I really dont care about it... I will calmly take only common every month... I just want rarity system which will not change rarity of single pet every 2nd month

yes... count only pets from active accounts is good... why count pets from accounts which are a lot of years not active? it make sense... I just think that this often changes arent so good for pets

I can see your point, new system SOUNDS more accurate, but that honestly seems just unhealthy when fairly big amount of older pets go down in rarity after re-releases AND during a year between re-releases and almost none go up, and it lasts for years and years. idk, old pets are supposed to become more rare with time, but since we got new rarity system they only slowly drop lower and lower.

I have found in the almost 3 years I've been on the site, I haven't seen many pets go up and STAY up. I'm hearing about some rarity system that was changed, don't know about whatever that is..

But I haven't seen like any pets go up and stay up, and usually it's just pets going down, OLD pets from 09. That was around 7 years ago, I feel like this is very odd, even with re-releases. From rare to uncommon, rare to uncommon, the same cycle for a while. There is pets that last year were rare that dropped to uncommon, then would repeat back and fourth. Some of the pets shouldn't be dropping, it's too strange.

I am also reading that only active accounts are counted in rarity, which to me messes w/ rarity?? Even if someone is inactive then it's like: oh those pets don't exists.. Although the owner of a pet may be inactive, it's still just.. Messing w/ my head. Idk.. The 08 uncommons shouldn't be uncommon, honestly. I don't see them THAT frequently.. Even on days I do a lot of trading, idk.

Could be off about all this but I just?? In almost 3 years I haven't seen much rarity change go UP.

for TOOOO many pets which CS have is there so small rarity I think... with more new rarity tags it would make more sense... also members would exactly know how much that pet worth... like... 2008 list dogs are very rare... 2010 no list pets are very rare... 2015 store pets are very rare... thousand rares from all years... a lot of member sending me trade where they ask for trade like "rare for rare" ... "very rare for very rare" but it's not true... with more rarity tags they would really know what it worth...
example:

Zebra, moonswirl, ur buttefly, etc: Legendary Rare
Toxics, Galaxys, tribals, etc: OMG so Rare
September list and advent list, etc...: Ultra rares
2008-2009 dogs, some store pets (not all of course): Very Rare
2010 easter dogs, 2014-15 store pets, 2014-15 vr's : Rare
pets from events 2013-16 which are rare could have: Very Uncommon
etc

This happens around the same time every year. No need to worry guys. Because of the rerelease, and the sheer number of people on the site that adopted during the rerelease, it's to be expected that some pets will change in rarity. As more people join, accounts become inactive, etc. a lot of pets will gain their rarity back.
It just takes patience.
