Any extras I get will be going into my purple hoard (assuming the outcomes are purple or mostly purple), So I guess I'll be hoarding them in a way! XD

Yes. Zebra's are released with the horses. You are very very lucky to get something so rare when the chance is very slim

It happens sometimes when you adopt horses/ponies. It's a MINUTE chance, so you're very lucky! Congratulations!
