Rant: I've had several people do this, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. It seems like whenever some older, more established users want to trade with me they can't help giving me a lecture on rarities in their trade message. Now, I know that I'm new and I still have things to learn as far as rarity values go; I can admit that. I'm far from perfect. But then again, there are several users who have been here for a long while who still have problems, too (hence the need for a 'Is this a fair trade?' thread - it's not only new users posting there). So I can't help finding it incredibly patronizing that I have to be talked down to by some users like I'm mentally deficient in some way. Also, don't automatically assume that every new user needs your help. Maybe you think you're trying to be nice and helpful, but it certainly doesn't come across that way to me. It's condescending and insulting. Just sayin'.

You might be getting rarity lectures because of unfair trades you have sent. I know I always include something about rarities in my messages when sending trades so that the person knows that I am aware of what their/my pets are worth and I will not be ripped off.

And no, these are people I've never traded with before or spoken to in my life. Also, I don't believe I've ever initiated a trade to anyone I don't know (so how could I be sending unfair trades?) So please don't make assumptions about me like that. It's not very nice.

Hekomi wasn't making any bad assumptions . People don't lecture you in trade messages if the trade you sent was fair...Why would they?. You get a rarity lecture when you sent an very unfair trade ^^.

Oh I wasn't intending to be rude. I was just saying, if you had sent unfair trades that would be why. ;_; I've never traded with you, I didn't mean to offend.

Sakura, we often assume (well, I assume me and the community of CS are a we. x3), that members that have been on as long as you don't know the exact rarity. Especially if someone doesn't know you, or hasn't had contact with you yet. They'll think that you need a bit of help, so really, they may just be trying to help you. After all, rarities isn't like 2+2. xD

I haven't traded with you yet, so I don't know how good/bad you are. I personally don't see how H&J were making assumptions.

And this is the exact attitude that makes me not even bother leaving cancel messages most of the time. People obviously don't want any help so fine let them just flounder around and figure it out themselves. And in the current climate of CS make a good few enemies and end up on many foe's lists along the way.

You never know, Sakura. It's hard not to send unfair trades once in a while without being conscious of how fair it is. But it is a possibility that it was simply rudeness on the other person's behalf for giving you the lecture. I've had to lecture 2009 members on the value of my BE Galaxy many a time. You are not the only one. xD

Forgive me if I may seem rude. I had a rather sleepless night and it's 5:36am here, lol.
