Four candles =3

Actually, we are only up to three candles. ^^ If I recall correctly, the middle candle, called the Shamash, is used to light the other candles, and isn't counted. You use the Shamash to light the other candles because it's forbidden to use the others for anything, including lighting other candles.

So THAT'S why they started at two candles XD I was wondering why they didn't started at one candle XD Thanks for the info^^

Ha ha, no problem. 8) Now I miss having a menorah - I haven't had one since the little wooden one I used in pre-school (as I said a few pages back, I went to a Jewish pre-school despite being religiously unaffiliated). I'm not Jewish, but it's a fun and beautiful tradition.

I like lighting candles? Plus it's fun to make your own menorah. We finger painted the ones we made in pre-school. That was fun. XD

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ 'technicly' jewish .... and a pyro xD (hell yes to lighting candles!) lol, plus it's 8 days of presants!! but ya, it is fun to celebrate and there are yummy foods and fun games to play ^-^

That leaves me with four presents left. And there are three/four (can't see how many are left precisely) candles left, I don't think i'll be able to get each one on my own, I hope I can get them through trades.@_@

You know how I said my friend's family celebrates Jewish holidays? I went to passover with him and his sister and got seven bucks and a whole lot of knowledge about games for the kids and different foods that they eat. I tried chicken dumpling soup for the first time! YUMMY!

Gosh no one posts here, I mean they don't post any growths really either. I don't celebrate Hanukkah and am christian yet I still keep up with the pets. Geez guys. @_@
