New Trade Rant Thread

I'm surprised how difficult it is to trade off my nonswirl.
Trading for a while didn't work.
Auctioning it didn't work.
And now trading again isn't working.

Not to mention all the other pets I have that decided they want to stay forever.

blech.

Yeah, it does tend to be very difficult to trade off valuable pets any more.
I feel for you, having a Banana and a DogTag in that trade group. D:
I can just imagine all the "wonderful" offers you get for them.
That's a good part of the reason I'm feeling so burned out lately I think.

It never ceases to annoy me, when someone sends bad trades, one after another, even if I have already told them what july/august 08's are really worth. >>

This was the first trade -it got autocancelled (thank god)

Yes, they are all from the same person. I really can't be mad at him, because all the messages were so polite, nice and long, but still... And yes, my trade rules do say that I only want dogs/cats/bw's/dragons/bunnies/guineapigs, (why everyone, she/he included, still offer me rats, nick pets and horses baffles me).

This annoys me even more, because I do know that he has July and August 08 pets and can make decent offers too, because I just happen to know that he made one for my friend's raccoon tail, (offering something like a spotted tribal and a balloon dog, if I remember correctly), and actually the trade message in the last trade he sent me, says that he needs the noncoon to make even better offer on the raccoon tail. Kinda makes me feel like he is only trying to scam me, (because with all the expensive pets and after being here since 09, I OBVIOUSLY don't know my rarities) or just wishes to get the pets half-free. >>

If he only wasn't so nice and polite I would really get angry.

And even if they WERE for trade, they're worth a whole lot more than a few common rare Easter Bunnies from this past year D:

I don't know where people get the idea that because I have a few that I'll let them go cheap... nevermind the fact that it's not in a trade folder. I have thousands of pets for trade. Seriously. Stop asking for my collection. It's getting old.

Because I traded well for them- Often Aug 08 each, not some junk rares. Other times it was $20 worth of off site currency. No.

Yeah, it does tend to be very difficult to trade off valuable pets any more.

I've had some awful offers, definintely no good ones, but the thing is, I haven't actually had that many offers...pretty much none to be honest.

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say here.
I think what both HaloFire and I were saying is that it's hard to trade them off not because nobody sends trades but that nobody sends trades worth the pets they want when it's a very valuable pet.

And I can't speak for HaloFire but I know for me personally, when it's say... a UR Butter Wolf or Banana, which is in the top 5 most valuable pets in the whole CS World, what exactly do you look for for a pet like that when there's nothing you need? I can't exactly say "Give me the top dozen pets on my wish list to complete my collection" because the collection's already complete.
And I don't want to give those kinds of pets away for less than their worth. So there they sit.
In fact, recently, I traded a DogTag for a CoonTail which is a bit lower in value. Then traded the CoonTail off for a pet on Rika which is worth far far less than the CoonTail. Just to be rid of the extra I didn't want and get something I did want. Now I'm sitting here kicking myself for doing it because once again I took a loss.

My Rant: When people accept a trade, and then constantly beg to trade back. Dont accept the trade if you are going to want to trade back the next day, and don't send me the trade a bunch of times along with a ton of PM's -__-

Also, when people think that two 2010 rares are worth a VR Red Malk Dragon -__-

Yes I agree, having valuable pets are more difficult to trade off because people who have pets that are worth the pet, most likely already have it or have no desire for it as they have completed their collection.

I know what you mean by having such rare pets and yet if you have completed your collection (like yourself) It is harder, I wouldn't know what to suggest but I think having a hoard of rarer pets and ask for them for your really rare pets so that you are atleast getting something you might desire, (of course they would have to pay in bulk) As someone who is so far away from completing my collection, I am quite envious of your success ^^;!

You traded a DogTag for a CoonTail? ouch... Offsite trading confuses me as I have never been on any sites other than CS (I probably should if I want a complete collection, which I do but I don't like to dream big so I am just going to try and get pets that I really like >_<) Maybe trade less valuable pets for offsite currency that equals the pet you want? >_< I have no idea i'm sorry xD! I feel sorry for you and I'm unsure if this made sense or not @_@.

Yeah that's actually a good idea. The problem with that though is when I keep them that long I get attached and don't want to trade them off when the time comes.
