Yay! I'm so glad my late adopt grew into him, I missed him from my originals. <3 He's my favorite so far. As for if the blanket newborn is any rarer, IDK, I still have 5. XD
I really hope there's only one more purple pup, I've only got one newborn of him!

As for what the pups are based on, so far I don't think anyone's heading in the right direction. ;3 The first two pups are the least similar to their sources, to the point that even knowing what they're based on in general wouldn't help much, but it's fun to see what people are speculating on with them, and I'm glad people seem to be liking them so far! ^^ The Count von Count reference really cracked me up - the pup totally does look like him. X3

I would normally agree with you but I believe that Atwood did say early on that they were loosely based off of something but it we might not be able to figure it out. ^-^
