Well, the artists aren't miricale workers...
I mean, they wouldn't pull out some old like, dirt old file just for one use...
I *believe* an artist or mod stated it before...

When you click on a group of your pets and look at them, it doesn't have the little bar at the bottom that says "____'s Pet".
But if you put an item on the pet, it has the bar.

At least, that's how it is for me. :3

It is there to put less strain on the server, if you have no items, the server just has to fetches the normal picture that displays for everyone else. As soon as you put an item on it, it becomes a uniqe picture that has to be generated in order for the server to display.
