Urrgh, I need a little help ._.
So, I have a Bamboo Fun Tablet, and I use it on pretty much every drawing I do. But my lines always turn out thick and sketchy because I use the Pen tool and a little smoothing, and sketch my lines. But I have no idea how to make the lines not too thick and smooth without spending ages trying to erase sketchy bits x.x
Any help is appreciated c:

I would suggest you download Jtablet . On the Oekaki { On Gimp I know you can adjust the options for the pen tool - pen pressure, thickness sensitivity, opacity sensitivity, etc } , with this downloaded, the lines will have pen pressure and will look smooth instead of sketchy & scratchy. [:
Hope this helps!

How to use lock alpha

Postby Llama. » Mon Aug 06, 2012 7:51 am

Add layer and label it 'Lines'

Draw what you want

Make a new layer under the 'Lines' layer.

Color your drawing. It will not over lap the lines.

Then label that layer 'Color' [Not needed]

Make sure the color is not out of the lines.

Tick the lock aloha box.

Then pick a different color, pick the 'color' layer tick the lock alpha box and scribble all over your drawing without it going out of the lines!

Have any questions? Post here! :3

I don't know... I think the solution is that you just need to stop doing that. :=)

Okay, I don't get it. I'll make new layers, then I'll put a sketch on say layer 2. If I go to either layer 1 or 3, and use Lock Alpha, it doesn't let me do anything. What am I doing wrong here?

Yes, there is a way to make your Oekaki drawing transparent!!

How to make this
Image
into this
Image
Step 1: Make your drawing and everything
Step 2: Turn off the background(un-click the layer)
Step 3: Save and post your drawing
Step 4: Right-click on your drawing and go down to "Properties"
Step 5: Copy the URL from "Properties"
Step 6: Paste the URL in side the [img][/img*] thing (remove *)
Step 7: Replace the auto&rev with png&rev (replace 1159260&size=large&format=
auto&rev=1346802414 with 1159260&size=large&format=png&rev=1346802414)
Step 8: Post!

Hope this helps!! :)

So, I think it's just the oekaki here. Cause when I go into photoshop I have no issues using my brush/pen tool. Sometimes if I take too long on a line it gets fuzzy but if I stroke it real fast it comes out nice and clean. How do I keep it from getting fuzzy if, say, it's a longer line that needs to be straight or curve a certain way.. and I just can't stroke it on the layer that quickly? Is there a special setting I should be setting my pen to? I do use pen pressure too!
