Also, you might want to put on a few layers before you deselect the background. Might help Cx

Thanks for the tips guys. I shall have to try all of this out later on tonight when I have some free time ^-^

Ok... so I tried the lock alpha thing, and I clicked the 'Lock Alpha' thing. But when I started coloring it went over my lines:C

Um, well, I don't really get the question.. You just open Oekaki and draw? I suggest not touching the first layer, but instead make a new one and name it "lines" or something. When you're done with that you can make new layers for shading, coloring, accessories, etc.

I've never had this problem, so it might just be a bug. You can go to the help page of cs and see if there's anything on it there? It's at the top right-hand corner of your screen, next to logout.

Oof, I'm not very good at shading... The only way I know how to is to:
1. make a layer above the lineart
2. change it to multiply
3. make your pen/pencil gray
4. color where the shading would be
5. make another layer on top of that
6. change it to multiply
7. color like normal.

Or you could just make your coloring layer and once you're finished coloring, use the "burn" tool where you want the shading.
I would wait for better artists to answer, though xD;
