im back because you guys made me think of another one LOL

auctions for pets without a rarity shouldn't be allowed. while you could argue that its an auction, so the users themselves are knowingly overpaying, i find that it blatantly takes advantage of players with massive FOMO (fear of missing out) or completionism. in the past few years, the auctions and prices ive been seeing on monthly and event pets that normally turn out to be an uncommon are absolutely criminal.

this site is popular with people who like to organize & sort pets, and i often see collections with a massive list of groups to sort pets into event, species, favourites.. many different styles! i would love to order my pets within a group in a custom manner. i could place two thematically similar pets beside each other, or change the way i use grouping versus ordering.

I second this 100%!! I've always wanted a group with my PPS pets and their GUPPS counterparts right next to each other and it makes me so sad that I can't

this is a complete tangent from the trade stuff, but i think it would be super cool if it were possible to re-order pets within a locked group

i could see an argument for there being confusion with regard to true dates vs rereleases, and to that: don’t allow trade groups to be re-ordered. if a group is locked anyways, any re-ordering purely for my enjoyment!

an aside: if we look at the official date swap threads, date swaps seem to be considered equivalent, but there’s still a community-accepted difference in value for TD vs RR. where does this discrepancy come from? if people were permitted to re-order locked groups to put littermates together, would it reduce the perceived gap in value between TD & RR’s? and.. the logical next question: is this gap in value between TD & RR’s worth preserving?

I would love to reorder my pets, also maybe be able to put groups into a “folder” that could be labelled as well, im not a fan of having so many groups cause it takes a bit to scroll down to see what i have on someones wishlist when i trade but with 16 years of pets its hard not to.

Here’s one of mine that I never see people talk about: If I offer you a pet you’re asking for on a swap thread and you just got it from another trade, please just cancel it instead of letting it rot and magically expecting me to figure out you got that outcome elsewhere or individually scour your groups for it. I understand people might feel bad about cancelling, but it’s so much more annoying having to guess whether someone is actually busy elsewhere/offline entirely or is just stalling to cancel instead of being told ‘I got this already, sorry!’ outright. This gets especially bad during events I’ve noticed, since trading is normally going a mile a minute then.

Additional sorting options and collection 'folders' are something I wish we could have too. Fortunately, both these ideas have some related topics in the Suggestions forum:

• Re-arange pets in their groups
• The 'Sort-Pets by Mode' Suggestion

my hot take is that while trading for older rares has changed a lot, a lot of it is to do with the aging site and the aging community and not necessarily a more selfish userbase. a lot of us joined as young teens and are now adults, so of course we're going to look back at the time we used to spend on the site more fondly, since we were kids and are now nostalgic. also, as the site goes on it's only going to be harder for newer members to get the more popular 2008-2012 rares. older members who have been around for over a decade are the ones most likely to have these pets, and few people will take bulk newer rares. except maybe rare monthly outcomes, but those are also extremely contentious. the only other rares we really get are during events, most of which aren't really affected by RNG (excluding banner pets). in my opinion, it is really unfortunate that dreamies i had back in 2014 that used to be worth a 2009 rare are now worth 1 MA (</3 nick laptop...), but i acknowledge that it has been a decade and as more older accounts become inactive that's the way it goes lol. i think CS is still overall a very good game and produces new and interesting pets and events all the time, i just think unfortunately completionist goals are going to become more difficult as time goes on and i am skeptical how much staff can change that.

"nft" display groups are just inconvenient for everyone trying to trade you, and really appear as begging for overpay.

when you type "nft" in a group name, it automatically asks if you want to lock it. i'm not sure why i'm seeing so many get frustrated when pets in open "nft" folders are offered on, then?

this is so true, i saw someone with the blue flower dog from january (at the time it was unknown rarity) in their list group, they had listed it for like 5 nons. gotta be a joke
