That lil guy's worth fluctuates a ton since its value hinges very heavily on demand, which means it's kind of worth what people are willing to pay for it. I've seen trades or the puppy cocoon go up to 150C$, but I don't think every user trying to trade for it will be willing to pay that much. The Pets With Confusing Worth Thread, for example, lists two trade examples for the puppy cocoon, one for 150C$, the other for 35C$. The easiest way to figure out what users are willing to trade for it is to run an auction, but if you'd rather not go through the trouble, the store pet's a good offer, imo. It's worth 2 old rares or ~60C$.

I would say it's unfair to the lion. The quantity of rares on the bottom side is nice, but lions generally trade really well and 2009 VRs are worth about 2.5 old rares. The bottom side could be worth about 1.5 OR taking the quantity into account (that's a guesstimate, trading newer rares for older tends to be more guesswork than hard science). So I would assume the top side is offering to overpay, but especially with newer accounts, it's always polite to double check c:
