Point system for calculating rarity?

Hi!

I'm aware there's a system for rarity measurements with MA and Nons, but I was wondering if anyone has heard of or could be interested in a system using points, which easily compares and contrasts different pets and their worth. For example (and don't take it too literally because I don't understand worths very well):

if a 2024 OMGSC is 1 point, being the most common pet available
and a 2024 EC was 2 points, you'd immediately know that it takes two OMGSC to trade for an EC.

Then if a 2012 UC horse was e.g. worth 78 points you'd be able to calculate it all so easily.

I'm probably being a bit too simplistic so don't hesitate to tell me so, but I'm genuinely curious if this kind of system would be possible.
