i do not feel like this is fair I just need someone to explain it better for me

hiya! so this is actually fair on paper, if not overpay to the store pets. each 2022 store pet is worth a 2011 rare, thus 2x 11 rares = 1 2010 rare for a 2009 spider

however, spiders can be hard to trade off so imo i would hang onto the store pets -- plus, they can grow in value (very slowly, but it happens!) i'd say it really depends on what pets you prefer but the trade technically is overpay to the store pets

i'd honestly probably agree with saying it's unfair! imo 2023 rares are 3 C$ at most and according to the C$ thread it could honestly be less. take it with a bit of salt as it hasn't been updated super recently BUT 10C$ per rare that came out 4 months ago is a bit extreme to me

if you could barter it down to even 5 C$/pet for 25 C$ total instead i'd say that's better but 50 C$ is not worth it

^^ this is all personal opinion though as C$ values can really fluctuate so if you rlly want those pets go for it,, but otherwise i wouldn't
