Hoard Discussions Thread v.7!

kinda working backwards here but i just disbanded my 'a gardener told me some plants move' hoard because i realised i didn't actually like the pets but i still love the name so i'm looking for any suggestions for pets that would fit this theme? i'm considering these cats



they're so adorable. but any plant/botanical themed pet suggestions welcome :)

Personally I love that litter, I think they'd be a great choice! Some other options are:

These rats from February 2023- archive/2023/February/Rat
(Kinda cool as it has both plants and notes, so like a botanist/gardener drew them?)



These ponies from February 2022- archive/2022/February/Pony
(Two options don't SEEM to have flowers so I just listed the ones that do!)


These rats from Easter 2022- archive/2022/Easter/Dwarf%20Hamster
(They're plants held by rats so...they'd move...kinda cute title tie in, idk! They're just adorable!)


These horses from January 2021- archive/2021/January/Horse
(Again, they're plants put in letters which move. Title tie in was cute imo! One option didn't have flowers so I left it out.)


These chickens from May 2021- archive/2021/May/Chicken
(Looks like waterfall flower chickens so, moving water = plants that move? Idk but they're pretty!)


These horses from June 2021- archive/2021/June/Horse
(Again, flowers on water, so they're moving? A little less color diversity here but still pretty.)




These butterfly wolves from Easter 2021- archive/2021/Easter/Butterfly%20wolf
(They're all rare so might be hard to gather.)



These ponies from Easter 2021- archive/2021/Easter/Pony
(They have flower bouquets in their mouths, so the flowers are, again, moving!)


I have to stop here (ngl I was and still am fully prepared to go through all the years for you) because baby has been fussing for hours and I need to see if moving to another room without a computer will help lol Good luck choosing a hoard <3

i did end up going with the cats but i loved all of your suggestions as well, i was just sooo in love with the cats that i was like why not haha

here's the group - i'm up to 23 so far, and naming every cat after a flower!

Couldn't help but started a new hoard of these dragons!

It will be a small hoard of 10 or 20 rainbow dragons, or may be more??(Haven't decided how much yet..)
I always like rainbow, so as dragons:D
How wonderful to combine them together!

i literally named my doggy like this aurora bc the aura above her is like the aurora borealis , if that helps at all ! i lovelovelovelove her design thoooo so totally support your decision to hoard!!

I’m in the same boat😭😂 I wasn’t planning on hoarding anything until at least easter. Then the st pattys day pets came out🤩 couldn’t help myself!

I’m now hoarding the cats

And the
dragons

These ones are just limited hoards though. I don’t need any forever hoards😂 kudos to the artists for the st pattys day pets! They are truly amazing. Also! For the hoard name, maybe ‘neon nights’?

I tend to do one word hoard names so a few possibilities in that vein are: luminescence, phosphorescence, radiance, gleaming, or aglow. I do agree with @tenor's suggestion to name after the aurora- possibly you could look up other names for it? Looking it up they might be called the 'merry dancers' or 'fiery pillars' but I'm sure there's many others. Alternatively, you could name it after a type of rock that glows (I did a quick search and found x or x for name possibilities.)

I'd love to hoard them but I already had trouble getting the one I have so I won't do it.

Anyone else find it infuriating when you hoard something but try to trade someone and your hoard pet is on their wishlist- thus you have to scroll for like a billion pages past the hoard pet XD
