I'm personally on the 'some sort of reptile' train, but if it were a platypus? I think I'd perish (in a good way.)

I feel the same way. I also know turtles eggs are a bit more round so I'm really thinking they are snake/lizards (coming from someone who has worked with reptiles in great capacity)

tbf, hammies are pretty small and we've gotten some pretty stellar designs out of those. I'm sure they'll be awesome whatever they end up being.
