I don't have much experience in C$ to pet ratio, is this a fair price given overall site demand for these pets?

Ponies and horses don't have much demand.
According to the C$ guide, a 2009 rare/very rare is worth around 35-55C$. Disclaimer, these are just general values to work from and not everyone uses and/or values the guide.
Taking the range and doubling it for 2 '09 rares, the range becomes 70-110 C$. Thus, they are offering the lowest value on the range. I would personally take this due to the low demand of the two species, but that is my own personal opinion. (:
