Is this a fair trade?

I'm not familiar with the dog they are offering and I don't really know what a toxic is worth so information would be highly appreciated!

Also this tade is interesting.
I don't do item trades normally because I don't use items often.
However this item is apparently rare so I might consider.
But my concern is how easy it would be to trade the item off compared to how easy it is to trade the pet.
So with that in mind, is this fair?

its unfair to u, I think its just an 08 rare/vr and I have never seen it go for this much

item trades are always difficult & imo u can trade easier with the toxic!

hello ^^ that first trade is very unfair to you, as the toxic is worth 25-37 '09 rares otherwise known as .25 non and their side is worth 4 '09 rares. i would not accept that. while the second trade is technically fair, the nails item is also worth .25 non, but accepting or declining this would be based on your personal preference on rare items. it is far easier trading rare pets than rare items.

for the nails trade, i don't think they're worth a toxic but have previously gone for a MA
you'd have an easier time trading away the toxic than the nails imo

the green dog is from nov. 2008 but doesn't have any other significance and would only be worth 5-6 '09 rares at best

i always find it handy to look at successful trades, and the toxic is consistently going for anywhere between 0.25 to 0.5 nons at the moment

The nails are worth .25n according to this guide, and please don't say that every toxic fetches .5n when you only show one trade involving the green toxic. Green & Red Toxic go for about .25n, whereas Blue, Purple & Yellow Toxic all go for .5n (however Yellow Toxic ranges from .25-.5n). Some trades on the successful trade thread are outliers and it's up to you whether to figure out which one is or isn't. Multiple people on the CSTM Discord agree that Green toxic goes for .25n and I've swapped my green toxic for another .25n pet so there's my personal experience.

That is a completely fair statement and I do agree! I personally don't have the CSTM discord and would tend to follow the most recent, up to date threads in the successful trades thread. Of course, all pets are completely up to the owner on their worth and the advice given in this thread is simply that -- advice. I don't think it's fair to say there are outliers, when the worth of pets varies so much and so often -- every trade is an individual's choice and based on their own research, including that in this thread! I shall correct my original post to reflect this. Thanks for your comment!
