I'm not super great with rarity here lol but ik date matters, as well as demand, so I'm not certain what either of these pets should go for.
Both of these pets are worth the three month rule, meaning they can be fairly traded for any pet within three months of each other. Since your egg is two years older than the cat, this is unfair to you. They can make if fair by offering a 2012 rare instead of the cat, or adding more pets to make up for the rarity difference. If you use rarity math, they’d have to add a 2013 rare + 2013 uncommon.

The fairness of this trade depends on your personal preferences and if you value date or rarity more. Some players would be more than happy to trade a 2012 uncommon for a 2019 rare, while others would not because rares are, after all, rarer.
If you’re one to use “rarity math,” this is fair/they are overpaying. However, I personally wouldn’t take this trade as I don’t like using rarity math for newer pets, as it severely undervalues newer rares.
