the chicken smoothie artists have designed so many beautiful pets over the past thirteen years! most pets on chicken smoothie grow from a newborn into a fully grown pet! this is one of my favorite features of chicken smoothie! the artists put so much work into designing each stage of a pet's development, but in the end we really only see the full grown pets. however, you can find images of each pet and all of its stages in the pet archives! i have created this thread for everyone to share their favorite newborns and still growing pets that we don't otherwise see very often!

I guess I can share one of my all time favorite "still growing pets":

The lab newborn from May 2012.

I still remember the utter disappointment when they used it as a pun and the pups turned into labradors xD
I do love the litter all grown up though. Labs are wonderful dogs. :)
I'm still waiting for an actual laboratory litter though! It's been litterally 9 years now, where's my sciencey litter!?

✿ -- oh this is such a cute thread! I love butterfly wolves, so of course I adore the caterpillars but I think my all time favourites are these two from Christmas 2008:

they're just so festive and precious and the little hats are adorable!
✿ -- the cocoon stage is also super cute! like a little present!

(is there a PPS cocoon with a bow on it elsewhere? I vaguely remember one but I can't find it oops)

Went through a random year in the archive because I got inspired by this thread. It's always nice to go through the archive every now and then purely to look at the different pet stages we rarely see :)

And I did find some sharables:

Like this cute fella from April 2015! I just love how silly he looks :D

Then there's this chicken clutch from May 2015:

It started out like this and then turned into several beautiful gemstone/lava rock looking eggs. These being some of my faves:


And I found another pun:

This guy from July 2015 turned into pups based on different interesting looking trees :D

And finally these young boys from April Fool's 2015:

I know we have full-grown dogs that looks old like that, but these guys are the actual newborns of this litter. They're Benjamin Button inspired and I love them so much even if the final outcomes are rather generic looking pups :)
