I think it's because, in comparison to its common counterpart, it's all crumbly...

It's to expand on the general 'happy and sweet look of the dog. c: To me it looks more like a sad smile with those eyes, as the eyes are more shiny on the bottom resembling tears. Reminds me of a bittersweet moment perhaps?

Ya but have you ever seen a puppy an inch tall?
I don't think they can be to scale. Sence if the wolife lineart got any smaller it'd be to small.
The horses are acurate to the others.
