yes LOL i was on hiatus from 2013-2014 to january 2018 ^^ i came back with the intention to give away all my pets and delete my account but nostalgia hit me pretty bad.

I've actually never taken a hiatus! Other than vacations, being busy, or being really sick, I've logged on every single day, for the last 9+ years. And those missed days are very few (maybe 10 at most).

I can only go back so far in my trade history, but this is the earliest one I found after digging through my groups for a couple minutes. ^^ I didn't even leave a thank you message, which was incredibly rude of me!

I wanted to find out, but my head was hurting after counting for a while. But I found out I have over 1000 rares! <3 I thought I'd have half of that at best.

How did you get introduced to CS?:

I saw some pets on someone's FooPets profile! ^^ I had a bunch of my pets on my FooPets too. My first CS username was the same as my Foopets name! (CrazyCatGirl I think)

What about CS made you keep playing?:

I've played more than a dozen adoptable/pet games, and I've quit every single one of them except for CS. I love my pets and items, and I love to collect things, and I am so happy to collect as many as I want with no stress that I have to feed them all, or having to click them or something.
I'm so thankful every time I log on that there are no dailies (chores imo). I admit, the dailies are fun at first when I sign up for a new site, but that feeling of dread soon sinks in, and I find myself never logging back in again. Though there were a few I stuck with for a bit, like furrypaws, FR (the longest, 5 years), DV (horrible on my arthritis & joint pain), and wajas comes to mind. ^^

I love the trading aspect too, and trying to complete my wishlist! I've shrunk my pet WL considerably the last few months! I'm hoping to maybe work on my item WL a bit. (Though the L&F helps a ton!) And of course I love to dress up my pets!

edit: I forgot to mention that CS is like home to me. <3 I always enjoy my time here.

Have you taken a break? If so, how long?: I took around a 4-year hiatus from around 2016 to the end of 2020. I actually just got back into the site in December!

Probably my August pps lion! I originally adopted one when I first joined, but was stupid and traded it away. I always regretted that. A friend of mine on this site eventually gifted me one, and I vow never to trade her unless I quit.

What about CS made you keep playing?: I love the pet designs and the community! Most people I've interacted with here have been very kind and generous, and the pet designs are always beautiful. Both factors drew me back to the site after being absent for 4 years.

How did you get introduced to CS?: i think it was through a swedish pet adoption site
(djur.nu) , and my friend who played on that website with me
introduced me to this site. either that, or i saw an ad on said website
that was for this website. one of the two.

What about CS made you keep playing?: i like the satisfaction of it. i think
that's the easiest answer. it's nice to collect pets and also hoard some.
this site also have a lot of pretty pets and i can't say no to that.
oh and i also really like the forum games. i wish i had a deep and heartfelt reason,
but i really don't. so the real answer is, i don't really know why
but i really like it here ♡
