I will say that some of you have guessed my kitty; however, you have not guessed the mythology behind it. think about the sky and the earth

I love fruits. So much. And this makes me so happy. My ZEL hoard might have a competitor this time 😱

Today's cat is just so ridiculously cute, when I saw the melon knife I was like "this is the best thing, yes"
and hey, it's ok, my cat still has a fruit pun to work with :3c

I stand by my theory that the bird kitty is yours
Mythology?
Hmm I was thinking Greek since it looked like an Olympian with the circle around its neck.
Then I saw one theory about Egyptian mythology, but then I don't think that's it.
My final guess is Chinese/Japanese/Korean! All three of these had a similar creature which was the 3-legged crow.

Here's why:

1. 3 legs and a bird kitty -- 3 legged crow

2. The 3 legged crow represents the sun which looks like the circle on it's chest

3. The semicircle with a dot in the middle is what's throwing me off. Typically, the sun is written as a full circle with a dot in the middle so maybe like a sunset? Idk if that's how it works

I first thought this kitty was based off Puss in Boots (but with a different palette)





however their eyes don't match. The Puss's eyes aren't purple but here's an idea anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just a random thought with the three legged kitty:

It may have something to do with The Legend of Yatagarasu, which was a three legged crow. It also is thought to symbolize the sun, which may have something to do with the "medal" pattern, like it's a reference to a sun?

EDIT:

Also the symbol on the forehead looks like a fermata also named as a "birdseye" or a 'Cyclops Eye". If that's what the symbol is maybe it could be a bird myth such as Yatagarasu.

But another theory I have may perhaps has something to do with the Greek god and goddess: Uranus and Gaia, as Uranus is the "God of the sky" and Gaia is the "Goddess of the Earth" (Sky and Earth), perhaps the wings don't actually represent birds at all, but instead they represent the "sky" part of the kitty and the green and other colours are the "Earth" part of it.

I'm also gonna just go out on a whim here and say, it's got something to do with the sphinx.

Because in the Greek myth the Sphinx has wings (like the kitty does) and perhaps the three legs have to do with the Sphinx's riddle:

"What goes on four legs at dawn, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening?"

Maybe?

NEW THEORY:

It has something to do with the egyptian god: Ra

also the eye on the kitty's forehead might explain the eye of Ra and the sun on the kitty resembles the sun disk on top of Ra's head. Also he has the head of a falcon, which may explain the bird wings.

He is also shown as an old man in the serpent's shadow by Rick Riordan (a book in the Kane chronicles trilogy, like the red pyramid), the three legs in the sphinx's riddle mean an old man, so perhaps that is why it has three legs. (if my Sphinx theory is correct)

The egyptian god Ra, shows in not only the Kane chronicles trilogy but Scooby Doo as well.

that would leave the newborn kitty as rockruff’s...or vice versa. I think the winged kitty is Lucky’s and maybe it represents Isis, who was born to Geb, god of the earth, and Nut, goddess of the sky. Isis also appears in The Red Pyramid. Her symbols were the ankh, her wings, and her throne headdress

Congrats! You figured out the right story.

Meet Akhet!

She is based off of the Aset (Isis is Greek name for her) whose parents are Geb and Nut. Her origin first comes from the myth of Geb and Nut who were forced to separated since Ra, the sun god was afraid of anyone taking his thrown. Geb being stuck on the earth while Nut was stuck in the sky. Nut found a loophole which meant if she could hold onto some moonlight, she could create a day that was not on the official calendar. Due to this loophole, she ended up getting enough moonlight with a help of Thoth, the god of wisdom to create 5 extra days to which she could be with Geb. She has 5 children with Aset being one of them. Aset is the goddess of healing and magic.

For her markings, the marking on her forehead means "sun" in Egyptian. The double circle on her chest was also to represent the word "sun". I was trying to make a reference to Horus who is her son and the ruler of the sky. The division of her coloring between her legs and main body were to represent the division between Geb and Nut. The tail was supposed to give you the idea of sunset which is where her name, Akhet is derived from.

The scooby doo "hints" weren't actually hints. I just really love Scooby Doo and just let you guys think it was a hint because you were thinking more Egyptian theme <3
