Time to overthink this one then...
I was looking at some of the names and kept coming up with Savage Garden, because of sage, and flowerwork. But you mentioned your kitten was still sleeping and all the starred kittens (except maybe the green one with the pale spot on it's head) were still ungrown at that point so I don't think it's the flower kitten at all. (And this was before I noticed the gardening stamp in your profile) Maybe these relate to the name (bananas are technically modified flowers!)
I wondered if it could be the winged kitten as there does seem to be a red crescent on it's forehead (red moon, moonwalker); and what some people are calling a medal reminds me of a dandelion, but could be also be a glowing star on it's chest!
The day 10 kitten could at a stretch be taken for a red star, and the 'zig zag' relating to it's pattern and 'Dazzle Dazzle' because a star shines.
(or it still hasn't grown yet)
then there's this cryptic post here which marries nicely with the gecko theory that Weims posted earlier in the thread but also suggests it's a 'little' kitten - the pps? still sleeping? not fully grown? a little red dwarf star and a kitten 'snake' with legs (oh the humanity of trying to decide on which kitten it is)
I give in now, just going to enjoy all teh babies while they're growing
