Having had a brief skim through some forums I can't actually see a trade where the full set went for a non recently, so I would imagine that was a one time thing people just keep parroting, but if any lurkers do happen to have links I'd love to seem them.
That aside, the BEG has peculiar demand at best, fetches 1-1.5 nons and rarity wise is worth roughly the same as a sorbet dog.
I *have* seen the set trade for a sorbet a few times, so I'd personally say they're underpaying, especially when the full set is only work a couple of mid advents and only trades for varyingly large sums due to demand whereas, whilst it's also not quite worth a non, at least the BEG does have an established "demand value" of above a non. This would be really subjective so get a few more opinions, but to put it bluntly you'll really have to decide this one for yourself.
