hey, is there any other options for us people who are too poor to pay adobe for photoshop? i'd sure love to enter but unfortunately i only have an old pirated version that won't work with the files.

gimp is free to use and can open .psd files! here is the download link. it's pretty similar to photoshop and since it's open-sourced, you can typically customize/add certain features that you miss from photoshop. if you're not a fan, i'm sure there are other options out there, but this is the best i can think of for now. c:

Definitely gonna apply! This site used to be a big chunk of what I did online and I made so many friends here when I did. This website even inspired me to start drawing very shortly after I joined. ❤️ ^^

For the pets, as long as we stick to the pallet we chose, do the three pets need to look like they belong to the same litter? Or can we make three separate designs as long as the adults match with the newborns?

Bumping this as I'm not comfortable with my item submission so I hope my pet one will be better.

The idea is making three pets that would belong to a single litter, but just using the same pallet for all three is enough, the designs do not need to be similar to one another.

Could you explain in more detail what you mean? If the application is take a long time to save, try putting in one file at a time. You can go back and edit and add more as much as you like after it’s submitted.

I use Autodesk Sketchbook which is capable of opening PSD files and has an easy to use layout- doesn't cost a penny.
