Is it fair to trade commons for uncommons? If so, how many? I'm new.

Uncommons are usually valued at two commons from the same year :) So a '17 uncommon is worth two '17 commons, for example.

Most items are valued at a common or uncommon from their release year. (Tokens are generally valued at an uncommon.) The sleigh bridle is from Christmas 2012 and the egg token is from Easter 2014. The top of the trade is valued at a 2012 common/uncommon + a 2014 uncommon. 2 commons from the same year are typically valued at 1 uncommon from the same year, so your side adds up to 1 2016 uncommon. The item side would be overpaying. Of course, the trade's fairness ultimately depends on you as you're free to value pets and items how you'd like! Please remember this advice is also only my opinion. :)
