It's not unreasonable for people to be upset if they're under the impression that they'll be losing value they've spent real-life money and a lot of time and effort towards. Whether these assumptions are true or not, they are deserving of at least some basic understanding and belittling people for being upset isn't going to convince people to agree that the economy will remain stable regardless of the list's retirement. It's really important not to berate people, so please don't do it! We're all part of the same community and we should be trying to discuss things maturely without lashing out or being petty.

I know that if I felt personally the hundreds of IRL pounds I spent on CS was going to waste, Id feel upset too. It's just that I trust that the economy will stabilise without this list's monopoly over trading - so I don't feel my efforts are being devalued.

All I can say is that I think it is kind of petty and immature that people are threatening to quit and leave the site because the rares list is gone. If you are posting here, you should be over the age of 13, and honestly, that is a tad immature for even 13 year olds.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with the list - I've been on CS since 2012, and I have gotten trades like this throughout the entire time the list was in use.

Heck, I could dig up the trade where I myself traded a bunch of pets (like an Eat Me, Grey Dragon, etc.) for UR cucumber that makes me cringe now.

I think personally I’m going to value list pets just over what I paid for them because honestly, this is going to be a mess. I’m probably the only one who didn’t think about the after effects of losing the list (I voted restructure, but still) and what would happen to all the list pets’ value and the trading economy.

Oh lets be honest, those sorts of trades were received all the time, list or no list. Unless I was the only one receiving terrible trades like that over the last few years, but that's quite the conspiracy theory.

I think now the list is officially retired, some users will try to push their luck and get older, rarer pet easily but that's not really the case. UR Malks were never worth 1,200 09 rares but they sure as hell aren't worth 10 09 rares either.

Valuing them at what you paid for them is perfectly fine - you should never do a trade where you feel you are being slighted! Your pets will retain their rarity and desirability despite the list's retirement and people wishing to accumulate those pets will have to respect that if they wish to successfully trade with others.

I’m honestly confused on what the fuss is about? The list has supported unfair trades for seemingly more valuable pets for years. A very rare isn’t going to be “more rare” than an OMGSR that’s lower on some list. I usually trade my lists away for literally their rarity worth and it’s been fine for years. There might be pets that are a bit more rare than ones with the same tag, but overall the list just isn’t that fair.
