i second this question, and how will we post for swaps on our high value pets if that's to be the case?

Me too. it was always so confusing as to why 1 omgsr was worth 3 omgsrs and not to mention the dreadfully misleading gap. I always thought the gap meant that pets above it were way rarer than the pets below it but nope. Not at all. It just means the pets slowly get rarer and rarer at the top of the list.

Honestly I’m confused because I don’t know where I said slightly lol! But yea the gap really was my biggest issue and everytime someone suggested a change it was ignored or shut down. It really drove me wild that the pets above and below the gap weren’t really that far off from each other rarity-wise until you reached the non tier. Drove me bonkers!

On one hand I’m tossing confetti at the result. On the other, I’m dreading the work that needs to be done. I’m at work again irl so it’s going to hinder any aid I can do but I hope I can contribute whenever and however I can.

I’m a bit upset that we didn’t decide to continue the current list until the new rarity list was finished. I feel reading will be more hectic without any base to rarity. Having innacurat information but have a temporary guideline is better than none at all

People can still use the list if they want to.
It is retired, not forbidden to follow
I am pretty sure many will continue to use it till something else comes.
Or people can look at the rarity labels and release year.
Of just have their own opinions

Popping in while I’m stuck on the toilet instead of sleeping to continue the discussion from the other thread: oh god yes trying to comment on the thread was terrifying.

Might surprise some of you who were closely watching the thread that I was terrified—but in recent years I only felt comfortable contributing logistical ideas because I felt I could defend myself with the argument “you don’t need trade experience to suggest logistics”; before the last few years, I only felt comfortable answering what I thought were obvious questions like “why isn’t the BA higher” or “why isn’t the Shima Longtail on the List” (I probably contributed to the issue, sorry orz) because I understood how the List theoretically works and there were a couple of “elites” who I thought were SUPER nice and welcoming back then. (And then they went inactive and everyone else seemed scary. cry)

It wasn’t until recently that I realized my disdain for users was misplaced—it’s not that people aren’t understanding the List in theory (I think), it’s that it just doesn’t make realistic sense. And it wasn’t until I furthered some of my studies in school that I realized that there’s an exponential issue with the values and that the exponential increase in values does not make realistic sense and that it only makes theoretical sense with some very scary assumptions.

That was a mess. It’s 2:30 AM and I want to get off this toilet. If you can’t understand what the heck I said that’s totally fine just ignore me

How are people going to value their OMGSR’s?
I understand it’s personal preference, but just in general, are you going to value them as their old list value, or are you going to value them as 6 VR’s?

I'm going to value mine based on the rarity list that's currently in the works (: from today forward, I will not use the old list ever again 👌🏻 I don't plan on trading away any of my rarer pets until the vr / omgsr counting project is complete and I know their true worth, though.

Okay this makes a lot of sense ☺️
Does anyone else have an opinion?
