Oh wow that’s interesting o: definitely agree about the rarities because from the way Malk was talking in the Malk Dragons thread, the intention was for the special dragon releases to be a long-term thing and that the rarities wouldn’t be so high after a while, but since they stopped really early...

Hey do you guys think the Rarity chart I made for UR pets would also be useful for 08/09 pets and for the Zebra/Dragon post to make it easier to compare across pet types? Do you find the rarity chart easy to read?

I think the rarity charts are helpful, but I also think you should explain how to read them, to clear up any confusion.

Also, idk if it is just me, but I think the names should be on the right side? Or maybe you can change a setting to make the blank background more textured?? Because for me it's hard to follow the pets released later back to their name all the way to the left.

I like the chart but I'm used to reading pretty complex charts and I think for some young children and teens it could be pretty difficult as there's a lot of information on it.

Do we plan to include any advice for trading pets or just facts? Should we be recommending a ratio of VRs to OMGSRs or is this beyond the scope of this guide? Personally I think it is, but I'm really desperate to see some recommendations on that kind of thing from some informed perspective.

BurritoBunny - I can move the names to the right side, or have them on both sides, or darken the grey background colour, those are all options for sure. Agree that we need a little bit of text there.

Meduz - I want to include trading advice but it has to be fact based. So we can comment on pet rarity based on rarity tags, or demand based on player behaviour that we have observed (e.g. bananas being deleted, bananas being top wishlisted pets) or rarity tags in the case of store pets (lower rarity = higher demand based on purchase rates). In regards to ratios though, not all VRs are equal and not all OMGSRs are equal, so we can't really recommend a ratio at this stage. Maybe once we compile more information about these pets, they will become easier to compare and trade?


How do you guys feel about combining the litters to try and make the 08 sections a touch smaller?

Moonswirl briefly turned VR in Feb 2013, but returned to OMGSR by early March.
Dogtag did not dip like this despite turning OMGSR a month later in 2012.
This suggests that Moonswirl and Dogtag have been fighting for the position of rarest Moon dog.

Coontail was OMGSR before so we know it's rarer than Noncoon

So the 'OMGSR since..." doesn't tell a good story because of Jan 2019 update imo.
Should we continue with the draft in the previous post, or just do a rarity chart like the URs, or both, or something else?
