Are all the gryphons based on real birds?

This guy looks like a kingfisher, so I'm just wondering if the rest are based on or inspired by real birds too =3

it seems this one is based off a bearded vulture,


and this one a pink cockatoo?


not very sure about this one though, maybe a great black hawk?
(edit: or a black eagle?)

I looked up "crested bird of prey" and came up with a long crested eagle for the brown one. Maybe that's it?

I'm personally excited for these guys. I really like what Jayfrost has done with bwolves when they work with that lineart, no doubt these will be awesome too.

oo you might be right, it does have the orange eyes too!

I had to get the set (mainly for that super duper cute PPS)

The adult ones are a lil' funky looking but i'm sure i'll grow to love them, this one being my favorite
