for all you old, rare+ pet hoarders, how do you get your inspiration? i want to challenge myself with and older & valuable hoard but i dont know where to start with finding pets i might be interested in ^^

rare wise, mine changed after the update, its a lot harder now

for list wise, i do it more casually. my hoard, blue roses, are pretty hard to find and i dont go out of my way to find them, just if i come across them

I usually just love the design! I have Malk Mutants and 09 Reindeer horses that I’m hoarding because I just fell in love with ‘em,, but some of em kinda have meaning? My Pink Punks are based on a character I love, I love my Spiderwings design, but one of them was adopted on my birthday, so it’s kinda become a personal thing c: for my mini hoard of Drink Mes, they were an unofficial dreamie of mine that I never though I’d get,, so they mean a bit to me. but they also started off as me just loving the design :>

Honestly, I never wanted to hoard Rare+ pets. My penguins were common and uncommon and then the rarity changes and most are Rare! The penguin hoard is my important to me because they are my favorite animals, done by my favorite artist and my largest hoard so I'm very proud of them. Other hoards that went rare, I condensed to 20, unless they meant a lot to me, like my Cancer Dogs (I'm a cancer), or the ferret dogs, I started hoarding and gave up several times. But they kept coming back to me. Since the update, I decided to keep 20 of each colour.
I think the only "older" pet I started hoarding years after it came out was the the Royal Litter. They remind me of my favorite football team: the FL Gators!

I don’t think there was truly an inspiration. I simply fell in love with a pet’s design and decided I would like to have a bunch of them all in a pretty row. I suggest looking at rares + that you already have and see if there is any special connection there. Most of mine have a specific special meaning to me

In response to this tho I dont pay attention to rarity I pay attention to looks if I like the pet I’ll hoard it no matter the rarity I have a few list hoards like my store pets or my black advents or Bmds and malk dragons I just love the designs of the pets

I hoard whatever I love the design of. Rarity does not matter.

It's nicer if the pet is less common of course, but even those rare hoards can be worthwhile because they are much harder to do. Why not just flip through the archive a few times, find a design you really like.

I started hoarding the dog that got me into the site, pets that reminded me of a favorite tv show, patterns, special linearts. Whatever calls to you is what you should hoard

Update: Almost done with my lions which is amazing! Added 14 to my 'Life's a beach' Hoard and waiting for the rarity to come out on the dog so hopefully it's easier to trade since everyone is hoarding those dogs lol

I have three active hoards going right now and honestly I've never struggled so hard for hoards before lol but that is the joy of hoards

Rarity doesn't matter to me either. I choose my hoards based on the design of the pet. Typically, I do mini hoards of 20. If a pet has a special meaning to me, then I might do a larger hoard or even an unlimited hoard.
