My inspiration for hoarding Shimas and Mutants comes from my love for their design + their colors.
My favorite thing besides the colors: I really love the Shima's bored, narcissistic expression, and its tail is super cool too. The Malk Mutant looks menacing, but I love making mine look cute! For example...



Converse and Sidra have cutsie outfits, while



Kyria has a cool, tomboy look to her.

These pets just have so much personality to me that I can relate to, which is why I enjoy hoarding them and have a constant motivation to do so! ^^

for all you old, rare+ pet hoarders, how do you get your inspiration? i want to challenge myself with and older & valuable hoard but i dont know where to start with finding pets i might be interested in ^^

my inspiration comes from my love of the designs and the emotional meanings, which my rare+ hoards all have. for example my bmds are the most important pets to me on the website, and they would be regardless of rarity. for me its important to have a sort of connection with the pet, even more so for rare + hoards which take a lot of time and effort in my experience! ;w;

My very first VR hoard was back in '11/'12, I got a liontail for the very first time, to be honest at that point on CS I barely focused on anything that wasn't for a collection, but that pet just made something tweak. If I remember right, that one pet set off the entire horde xD Though I got a set quickly, and back then with theIr low demand it was very easy to obtain them, the difficult part was getting the pets people wanted for them. I spent most of my time arranging deals with people for theirs and seeking the pets they wanted. It was a very satisfying activity, and every single one I hold dearly. I had completed the majority of my main collections by this point, just date swaps left, so it was something to spend my fodder on as well as feeling like achieving a dream pet each time. Though as I got more, and slowly had to accept that it's unfair to hoard a pet out of circulation, I moved on to some other hoards.

I have completed hoards of JubJubs, Green Dragon Cats and Lemon Dalmatians; I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, it ill always be one of my favourite animations and novels. One of my favourite video games is Skyrim, though after Fallout 76, Bethesda and I have fallen out 😂 My Character is a stealthy boss, I have another rare hoard for the Daedric Armour my character wears. The lemon Dalmatians have always reminded me of my baby sister, who I haven't seen for 6 years because of a falling out with my mumm Shes 11 next month.

I also have 2 active very rare hoards, Pink Sorbets because they've always been a favourite of mine, because secretly I'm just a big squishy, and that little heart of their chest just drew me in. And finally I also have a recently started hoard of the April '09 Gold/White Green Eyed Collie, it looks similar to my partners dog despite being a different breed (his is a lab/whippet/× rescue) and green is our favourite colour.

I would love to have a hoard for my dog but nothing quite fits, he's a blue saluki × greyhound, leaning more short haired saluki in appearance. He's such a big dope but I could knock him out sometimes 😂

I have a few rare hoards but this post is already massive so I won't bore anyone with those 😄

I personally love cards and any games involving them, and I used to always have a queen of hearts around with me as a kid. I had some deep meaning for it back then but I honestly can't recall it now. I saw the pet and immediately wanted one, and it took a while before getting my first (Silica) but now I try my best to hoard them.
