Started my first infinite hoard of these cuties:

It's been kind of hard to find these ones though so it'll be one of my more difficult hoards to add to.

So I'm trying to figure out what to do with my hoards. I have a few rare hoards that I'm definitely keeping me cuz they actually do mean something to me. But then I have other hordes that I just liked the color or design or whatever that went rare and I'm conflicted on whether to keep them, or trade them because either way I busted my butt trading for them!
I mean most of my penguins are rare and I have over a thousand of them (I only need 35 more to complete my 2k goal), but I really don't think I'm getting rid of any of them because that's my biggest and my most favorite horde.

Anyway my question here is mostly directed towards non rare collectors. If your hoards went rare with the rarity system update; what did you do with them? Keep them, lower the collection, or dump them all in your trades?

A few of my hoards did this. I did the whole 'Does this give me joy?' thing. Mostly was like 'Do I want to keep or do I want to trade for WL?'. Some I ended up dropping a few but a lot I ended up keeping. If I run into any I'll trade for them but I'm not as actively looking for them.

See, and that's kinda my thought because some of the pet hoards I have would make some nice trade fodder, but at the same time I love they way they look. (The 08 royal litter for example).

Is there a particular number that makes a hoard a hoard? I know 20 is usually the minimum (least what I practice and seen), but can there be a small number?

@CalicoWolf I have a small hoard of 5 of the Rudolph PPS lions. Originally I wanted atleast 10 but the demand on the lion was a lot during the Christmas event so I turned it down to 5.

I guess I hoard balloon dogs now. It wasn't intentional, just kind of happened. I'm okay with it. I see a lot of people hoard them, however. So I'll have some competition.

@BlakeBelladonna- I often find monthly pets in a lot of adoption centers. That's usually how I end up completing my recent pet hoards. You won't get bulk trades but you can easily rack up 5 to 10 in a few days.

I'm nearly done with SweetHearts! I just need one more pink rat in the right place to finish the checkerboard. I managed to get 48 rats for my hoard of 20 because they just won't go in the right places lol.

I'm hoarding this outcome as well as it's litter mate and decided to name them after one of my favorite songs Boats and Birds by Gregory and The Hawk because it seemed a fitting to me. 7/20

I've been debating for a long time whether I should start a hoard on those seals or not, I did always keep them in my wishlist and always traded for some extras whenever I found pepole with open item trading, so I already had 7 or so of them.
I put the group together yesterday and have done a lot of trading and now have 11 seals and more base pets.
for the base pet I am using the mooncake bunnies, because it still can fit underneath the seal and doesn't cut off anything from the item!
right now I have more seals than the bunnies, so I haven't been able to put out all of the seals yet. :'>



I'm glad I finally started this hoard, I have disconitnued all part item hoards [ I am a very active collector though, so when there is items I like and want more of, I will still trade a whole load of them, but I don't consider them as a hoard tbh ]

why seals?
seals are my boyfriend's favourite animals, he's crazy about them, and I have strated to love them extremely much aswell.
so this hoard is dedicated to my boyfriend.
just because this hoard is very special and important to me, I am not listing that hoard under my usual hoards, but under my favourites tab instead. same goes for the next hoard...

another hoard I finally strated are these seal rats for him, these I started earlier, but it is still very tiny.


I am so proud of these hoards and so excited to begin, no limit whatsoever, I want as many as possible of all, but especially the items!

Thanks. I'm major condescending. So many rares and VR in my trades now. lol. Even found a few hoards (common/uncommon) that I'm not interested in anymore so that boosted my trade groups too. lol
