That's some really great artwork! Taavi looks super cute! ^.^

I'm very out of the loop with recent pets (well, have been since like Easter...) but man I wanted to pop in here and say that I love the colour palette for this litter, and I'm loving a bunch of the results. It's gonna take a long while to tell which ones I have since I adopted them so late, but I've already got my eye on a few that I might wind up hoarding ahahaha

If this pup's design remains relatively consistent, I'm going to definitely make a hoard for it since it closely resembles my dog, Shiloh ahahaha



Shiloh's specifically a great pyrenees/english mastiff mix, but I'm guessing that the design itself is based on a leonberger or similar

Yeah, I was pretty surprised to look at the growing pet list and see one that looked so similar to my big ol' mutt xD
And she actually resembled the pup even more when she was a pup herself

To help with picking out what breed Taavi is loosely based on, here are the relevant hints. :3

(yes, it was a hint!),
'big', 'giant', "I'm not a big fan of fawn in general", "he's going to change somewhat in his colouring and markings once he matures", "it has been mentioned at least once in thread".

I'll also add that his pup stage is a fairly accurate, though stylized, depiction of the puppy of this breed.

Reading Atwood's clues makes me feel even more sure that the pup is a leonberger.







They're massive dogs from the mountains, and have a thick double coat which requires a lot of upkeep (i.e. brushing).
"not a fan of fawn" -- gonna assume that's a comment on the colour fawn, implying that the dog's main colour will change from fawn-- I'm going to assume that this means it's going to get darker. Many leonbergers have much darker coats than their puppy origins (since their colours show more as the hair grows). Their tidy face masks also tend to "bleed" out more into the body.






Not 100% sure if Atwood's confirmed this already or not-- didn't appear so from what I read in the forums, though it's possible that I missed a reply where he did confirm the breed.

@Susiron, aww, your Shiloh is so gorgeous! What a lovely girl and unusual mix ^^ Taavi is going to change a bit when he ages, with some things becoming more like her and others less, but I'd say there will still be a pretty decent similarity once he's grown. :3
