No, I mean like back in January/February, before they started allowing non-posters to post.

It's an interesting idea, but do you realize how long that 'complete guide' would be? Not trying to rag, but my post takes up almost an entire page by itself, as do many of the others. Granted, I'd like to see an easier way to do things, but, it would make it one big cluster jumble.

They currently have out a "Guide to the CS Guides" which is how I found this topic. (I normally don't go around peaking in all of the forums. Call me unsociable if you will, lol, but I'm to busy usually with my online biz to even try to keep up.)

But with their link based table of contents, it truly makes things easier.

I think, honestly, that makes it much more manageable. And, it keeps people from having to go through 4 or 5 pages to find the one topic or guide they want to find out about.

It's a nice idea, but I honestly would not be up for it. My apologies. :?

Yeah, your right, after I posted it the thing I couldn't find a solution about was loading, and images... Especially for people on old/slow computers.

I was just trying to figure something out, for the people complaining about all the guides...

That'd be me x3 I disagree with the idea also. The index clears up some of the inevitable mess.

Yeah, I didn't think about people with slow/old computers when I thought of the idea, sorry

It's just kinda annoying when half the topics on the front page are endless guides... >_>

Well that's not really a problem now. A lot of guides are being pushed to the back o.o
Some haven't been updated >.<

shez wrote:So, you want to make a guide like so many before you. Well, first you're going to need to check that a guide hasn't already been made. Use the search tool and check this forum page by page (no, not just page 1).

Two: some images of the particular pet/thing you want to explain. You can obtain pet images from the archive or from willing participants who own the pet.

Three: You'll need to do some research to gain some knowledge or reinforce what you think you know (just in case. Last thing you want is to be wrong in a guide D:!)

Four: Give as much relevant information as possible. Give links if and when necessary.

Five: It would be wise to phrase your wording well so people understand what you're saying. Proof reading is important and makes you look edumacated :3

Lastly: Finish your guide with something awesome, like Jazz hands!

And that's that. Good luck in your guiding endeavours..

By the way, if you haven't guessed yet, this was a (friendly) JOKE! 8D

Ma-Wa-Ha-Ha! (That's how i laugh!)
