The only reason I made a guide was because I got tons of pointless trades, and I wanted them to STOP. I only want good trades. So I made a trade thread.

Why not just compress all the guides onto ONE thread and have it in the FAQs?

Every other thread in this board is a guide, and while they ARE helpful to newbies, there are still a ton.

Yes, they can be helpful. But I find it interesting that some people have said that the guides will help newbies. Personally I think the guides have been made easy enough for new players to understand but I've found that they're useful to older players as well. Guides that are categorical are useful for people who are looking for information on a particular pet, saving them the hassle of skimming through one big block of information. In reality, there would be the same amount of information whether or not they're separate or stuck together in one big post. It looks like a lot because of the number of guides, but I believe it's really been made easier..... Annndd I've gone on a big tangent :3

Bottom line- Some guides are good. Some not so good, nor required. The number is quite excessive, but has been made more obvious because they all sprung up at once, but lots of information gives less excuses for n00bish behaviour (especially if they're all prettyful and coloured!) >D mwahahaha!
Anyway... back to my little cave.

Compiling all the *cough useful cough* guides into one big thread might be a good idea.

Had to say I loved this 'guide.' Though it makes me wonder what a monster was created when I posted my butterfly wolf guide... *looks for a rug to crawl under.* The day after we had 2 guides pop up, I thought it was great! Then more, and more, and after seeing the 'guide of guides,' yeah, it's getting silly. I doubt even I as a newbie would look through all of them.

Honestly, I only made mine because of all of the comments of 'Don't adopt Butterfly Wolves!" I thought, surely that can't be right, and found out it wasn't. Finding such, I decided to post my findings so to speak. I hope no one hates me? *ducks in case lots of commons are tossed at her*

Either way, great joke! I just hope the future guide makers read the comments here. LOL

*makes 'jazz hands' to exit while she makes a mental note to not 'bump' her guide again.*

Well, I just had an idea... Everyone can tell me so if it's a bad idea, but I think it really would cut down on the amount of 'pet guides', this does not include how to make a fursona guides and item guides and such.

What if, everyone who has a guide was allowed to save the info, and then all of them would be deleted? Then, there could be a board made, and stickied, titled "Pet guides for CS" or something similar. Everyone who has a guide, could make one post there with their guide. No one without a guide would be allowed to post, like the outcome threads used to do. Only PM's, to keep it neat and tidy. Then when someone wanted to add a guide, they would have to have it approved by a mod. Nothing complicated or hard for the mods, just a simple PM from the member with the pet the guide would focus on, and the mod could tell them whether they could post it or not. Then, voila! One topic, with all the guides! <3

My idea maybe could use a bit of modifying, but what do you think?
