A Guide to making GUIDES!

So, you want to make a guide like so many before you. Well, first you're going to need to check that a guide hasn't already been made. Use the search tool and check this forum page by page (no, not just page 1).



Two: some images of the particular pet/thing you want to explain. You can obtain pet images from the archive or from willing participants who own the pet.



Three: You'll need to do some research to gain some knowledge or reinforce what you think you know (just in case. Last thing you want is to be wrong in a guide D:!)



Four: Give as much relevant information as possible. Give links if and when necessary.



Five: It would be wise to phrase your wording well so people understand what you're saying. Proof reading is important and makes you look edumacated :3



Lastly: Finish your guide with something awesome, like Jazz hands!



And that's that. Good luck in your guiding endeavours..

Yes, there are wayyy too many "guides" being created, and most of them overlap. It's ridiculous. Please stop making pet guides, we don't need any more!

Actually I'm getting sick of all these guides.
It was fun and very helpful at the beginning, but now it is just a confusing and useless jungle. And what really bothers me is that also people do make them, who have no clue what they're making there (not saying that everyone of them is clueless; there are also some really good ones).

Really, stop making them! There are already too many and no newbie will consider reading them all! It's just a wasting of time.

I think some of the guide makers even don't realise how many work it might be to update them regularly, so I assume some of them will die anyways and just clutter up the forum.

And then I did a cat guide... And then an ocean of guides where made. Too confusing.

Yes, total guide overload.. (though I have to admit that my 2009 Dog guide adds to the clutter x3) I actually had this 'guide' on Notepad for a couple of days before I decided to post it.
